WHAT’S IN YOUR CUP??
May sound like an odd question but it’s a question we should all be asking ourselves.
(READ THE EXPLANATION BELOW)
Remember if you’re not HAPPY, then start working on yourself.
Personal Development is so overlooked and pushed aside.
People think they have more important things to do than working on themselves. THINK AGAIN.
How you treat yourself, your loved ones, friends, strangers all comes from within.
If you’re bitter, angry, jealous, tight on the inside then that’s what’s gonna come out bit by bit.
Start by making one small change to better yourself. If you don’t know where to start, read about Personal Development and pick one area that you resonate with.
Here are a few simple things you can do:
- Listening to podcasts.
- Go for a walk.
- Read a book.
- Be involved in the community.
- Find a hobby.
- Start a gratitude journal.
IF YOU DON’T CHANGE, THEN NOTHING WILL CHANGE.
I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
"Because someone bumped into me!!!"
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting-tendencies?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others. 🤗
