KENYA GOT IT WRONG AFTER INDEPENDENCE
We all know Kenya attained independence in December 12th, 1963 and became republic in June 1st, 1964.This is the point where our priorities got deflected as a country. The main goal is to eradicate illiteracy and hunger---they are perceived enemies of growth and prosperity. The priorities changed and became scramble for white settlers land and dividing the country into regions which is not part of the initial plan.

The two big communities parted ways---the Luos and the Kikuyus. The Luos pursued education and acquired other technical skills while the Kikuyus went for land and engaged in business opportunities. What we are witnessing currently is recurrent of what the founding fathers planted---those who went to school are boisterous of knowledge while those who ventured into business boast of economic grip and leadership control in Kenya. The other communities became play victims of two giant communities.

The philosophy to eradicate illiteracy and hunger became a thing of the past. We still lie to ourselves that we're on the right to track toward achieving independence target but we are yet poised to manipulate the rest of Kenyans. Now, It's Us versus Them. They would do nothing is dangerous perception. And I can tell for free, there's no Kenya and this country is headed to the wrong direction. We need to have a leader who listens rather than one who hears and does nothing to contain the widening discontentment from Kenyan citizens. We have no country here.

Have you read Fathers of Nations by Paul Vitta, An Enemy of the People by Henrik Ibsen, Betrayal in the City by Francis Imbuga, Kigogo by Pauline Kea, Chozi la Heri by Assumpta Matei, The Parliament of Owls by Adipo Sidang’, Tumbo Lisilo Shiba by Ken Walibora? Then you know something.

It is fashionable in some circles to dismiss literature and the arts as luxuries in a nation grappling with economic and social challenges. But if ever there was proof that literature matters, that stories shape societies, it is to be found in the current wave of youth activism.

LODWAR NO LONGER DECENT TOWN
In early, 70s-80s Lodwar is trading center believed to have solid and unique cultural upkeep and orientation---culture was the main backbone of respect and honor in the community. Upholding cultural norms was recipe for every member of community--mothers taught their daughter cultural norms and nurtured them well. Respect and obedience was the order of the day--for concubines, unmarried and married in the community--there was no infidelity reports between women and men whatsoever. The cultural aspect was upheld and fostered appropriately. Both unmarried and married women respected their marriage vows and swore to cement them by being faithful to marriage partners.

In the 21st century, Lodwar town has become cannibal damsel for disrespectful and irregular immoral activities--- there's a lot of nocturnal night activities---both unmarried and married (women/men) pr******te a lot be it day and night--they have no shame at all--- this town is completely rotten and I believe none would survive the craze of this immoral practices---the deadly disease would sweep them. They have to live knowing no paradise for them in heaven.

My investigative probe, takes me to shocking revelation---gayism and le***an activities are taking toll in the town---where men go for men and women go for other women. I interviewed some and responded it is lifestyle and--they can't do without it. It's an addict.
To utter surprise, most of LGBTQ activities are commonly practiced in churches and then spreads to outer world like savannah bushfire--children are also practicing in schools and in social teenage spaces. No one is safe in this world---currently, we are witnessing skyrocket of divorce activities in most established family setups. Why? LGBTQ activities is the main driver---we are living in this crazy world by reggae maestro Philip Lucky Dube.

YOU HAVE DUTY TO GUIDE COMMUNITY
This morning on my way back from Lokichoggio sub-county, Turkana county. I came across a big caravan heading towards Nakururum---southern peak of Song'ot ranges barely walking on foot---youths, women, men and elderly all the way from Lomidat-Teremkus-songot--Aposta---Lokudule to Nakururum. Do you know what? Seasoned politicians promised to fundraise for them? Not only that---many a time, Turkana folks have been treated to misleading and oppressing narrative of handouts practice.

Genzis from Lokichoggio sub-county, you have to save your community from political lies meant to benefit selected few individuals. Imagine how can an elderly emaciated old man walk a distance of almost 18-20 Kms for what seems an outright lie?
Politicians shouldn't use people's vulnerability to solicit empathy. I certified Human Rights Defender, I condemn this practice in the strongest terms possible.

MYSTERY OF NON IMPACTFUL PHDs IN TURKANA
Drawing from philosophical perspective, PhD degrees acquired from different institutions of higher learning must demonstrate acumen and impactful feel on community---these PhD degrees must bring change to community. Thus, mobilize resources, seek funding scholarship or start project that community would appreciate and appraise for that matter.

To utter surprise, a good number of PhD holders have no something tangible community can appreciate and care for in regard to academic awards and achievements---no mentorship programs for school going children to motivate and inspire them work hard and aim high in schooling journey.

That PhD holders in Turkana have reduced their image to mere street urchins crumbling for political fanfare to earn living. They have completely refused to become writers, researchers, educators, consultants and/or renowned literary icons---instead have turned out to be trodden pimps. I wouldn't admire to be like them---rather I would use my multiple intelligences and intellect to author, research, and engage in freelance writing and reporting as well.

Kenya's lecturers and supervisors who midwife PhDs candidates are pathetic lot---these fellows aren't serious at all. They take time to grade or evaluate/assess students' assignments---putting PhD candidates at receiving end of delayed completion of entire coursework and research. Personally, I don't trust them--- they are not genuine in deeds but feigned Chicago conduits. I don't revere their character.

JEALOUS WIZARD
By AE John
I came with honesty
It is objected
In return received
Resentful uproar
Then calm down
To understand
The problem
Jealous wizard
Tell me
What are you
For?
Peace or war

You refused to listen
To my development plans
Then claimed
I ditch out coins
Unnecessary
Openly explained
It's my hard-earned
Labor toils
You mumbled
And embarked on
Character assassination
Schemes
Brother
I knew everything
Before conception
Jealous wizard
Tell me
What are you
For?
Peace or war.

I have no bad feeling
About your plans
Keep scheduling
With precision
Have no business
With it
Jealous wizard
Tell me
What are you
For?
Peace or war

I leave everything
To your advantage
But you haven't
Succeeded yet
But trying hard
You keep shuffling
From office
To office
Designing malice
And serving hate
Jealous wizard
Tell me
What are you
For?
Peace or war

I stopped the official plans
Embarked on tee-taller
I'm yet visualizing
The intent and
Expected outcome
I leave it all
For your irritating behaviour
I'm also human
I brace for war
Not peace now
Jealous wizard
Tell me
What are you
For?
Peace or war

SHANGAZI FOUNDATION BLUNDERED
Kishkey Lemax Thomas Kiyonga Lotiir E. Henry
In every setting, there are protocols to be followed before making entry to any formidable formation. Therefore, charitable NGOs or entities have to recognize local administrative structures in place: National Govt ( village elders, assistant chiefs, and chiefs); and County Govt ( Village and Ward Admins) respectively. It's improper to bypass the local administration in place, selfishly determined to seek sympathy out of deplorable situation at play, to achieve your own goal.

To affirm the essence of community entry, recently Jitegemee Trust Fund, entrepreneurial group wanted to train residents on Financial Literacy in one of TCLA wards. Before getting to the ground, secured approval from TCC to roll out the training. They'd already notified both area chief and Ward Admin through written letter of the impending visit to train selected groups; they were granted go a head to train groups. So far, this is second time are training people on Financial Literacy. None ordered the training to stop.

But Shangazi Foundation fraudsters through their tiktok social cheats blundered to fundraise for residents who didn't request for any help. By the way, who approached Shangazi Foundation for assistance? According to PPM principles, you can't design a program and jump ship to engage the target community directly without notifying the leadership in place of the project's goals, objectives, scope, and deliverables. Then, you have to be guided on glaring gaps or areas of interest before engaging primary stakeholders.

However, you can't mobilize drunk residents to stamp for gullibility practice, and use their vulnerability as a prop to generate money and use it for your own selfish benefits. Komodei chief is right to suspend the unsuspecting help for an exploitative intention.

Drawing from best practices, nothing is cast on stone. Therefore perceived charitable entities must adhere to community's ethical considerations in any activity they wish to roll out for community's sake. That every single protocol toward community entry must be adhered to. We've no excuse for practical fraudsters under the banner of charitable entities. Let them follow protocol, you can't collude with fake arbiters to slice cake for convenience. As certified Human Rights Defender, I refuse and condemn it.

CRITICAL EVALUATION
My attention is drawn to a buzzing trend in social media regarding the vacancies left open in TCG to be filled by qualified individuals. These position include speaker TCLA, Chair TCSPB and County Secretary. These positions have been held by individuals whose term of office came to an end, resigned from the position and even some retiring from public service. Many individuals have expressed interest in these positions to showcase their experience and expertise for that matter.

However, regional consideration in the selection criteria strikes the balance pendulum appropriately. Based on critical evaluation, I strongly believe no sub-county holds the same position twice, thrice or forth time depending on existing records of public service. Therefore, I would suggest the three powerful positions to be distributed based on the first devolution records in Turkana county.

For effective service delivery and regional representation, I hold different viewpoint suggesting even distribution of the positions as follow: Chair TCSPB be given to Loima sub-county; County Secretary to Central; and TCLA speaker retained by Turkana north because it is transitional continuum of the first offer.

Other stories advanced in social media about certain individuals expressing interest is literally set for another day.

LAUGHTER OF IGNORANCE
My attention is drawn to a commentary made by one of Turkana legislators regarding resignation of TCLA speaker on Tuesday. I felt embarrassed and inwardly laughed to myself, sometime these leaders write with a sleek of ignorance. They don't take time to reflect on what they want to write and share for public consumption. I wonder if they have communication assistants to help manage their communication portfolios, or they just take to the phone screen and began writing. Apparently, the practice is appalling.

How do you equate personal resignation to salvage image to a betrayal of Turkana people? Is it factual in deed? This is one of those few reminders that makes me believe they write with sleek of ignorance. Reflection provides realistic options to ponder over a matter before embarking on topic to write or respond to. How can you be troubled by someone's resignation? Unless you're directly part of the fighting team for that matter. I understand every politician in Kenya fights for his/her selfish gains be a MCA, MNA, WMNA, Senator, Governor and even one in the highest office. Blindly condemning others and sanitizing your ego is a testament of double paradox.

Recently, a whole flock of NA members voted for the finance bill blindly because they got instructions to do so. They deviated from the mandate they got elected to execute. So, claiming to be a saint when you're well known a lucifer is quite intimidating and disturbing. How can impeachment motion construe to community feeling betrayed and disenfranchised? How? and Why? Sometimes, we've to be factual than mutter on sensitive issues. I repeat once more, every political leader in Kenya prioritises personal gains over common good of ordinary citizens-that is a fact! We've to be realistic and need not lie to one another. None is blind in the 21st century, even the most useless wag in the village is enlightened .

That said, alluding county governance vindictive behaviour toward dissenting voices from constituency level who often challenge distribution of NG-CDF development projects in the constituency? How do you solve their concerns? Who spearheads the rage and fallout? Sometimes, you've to remove the speck from your eye, before attending the other client.

LEADERSHIP HYPOCRISY IN TURKANA COUNTY
"Wisdom sharpens while knowledge subsidises".The proverbial saying outlines stark reality and inherent reflection of true leadership hypocrisy in Turkana County. That said, my attention is drawn to resignation letter making rounds in social media tendered by the former TCLA speaker Hon. Christopher Doye Nakuleu to the TCLA clerk on Tuesday February 25th, 2025. Which is a good sign of true leadership, though it came late when all energy got drained in the judicial tunnel.

I read the resignation letter with utmost remorse trying to pick a few items of interest and contention. After careful scan of the letter, something remarkable crossed my eye. It's a single text from the resignation letter that read: "The decision comes after careful consideration of "personal", and "professional" objectives. Anyone who's been a student of literature and/or gone through TPD literature sessions would obviously understand what the resignee meant.

The resignation message is as a clear as the blue sky but average unschooled folks are blowing it out of proportion. That trumpeters have joined the bandwagon and began blowing their trumpets and I don't know when they'll stop the trumpet. Pointing fingers and castigating county leadership of thriving cartel deals, devouring own children, personal interest than common good for all, and poor governance demonstrate how Turkana parliamentary group lacks critical thinking ability and problem-solving skills to solve real-life problems. Instead, they've entered an aura of kindling fire to consume their own friends.

Section of respondents who applauded the resignation decision do not have clue of what the letter entails. Honestly, honoured resignation is tendered when the wind has began blowing but not when all avenues have dishonored the plea. The prolific war writer Sun Tzu in his book, "The Art of War" warned people of dire consequences associated with starting blind war because of mounting pressure. He further advised people to choose their battles wisely because the repercussions wouldn't be convincing and rewarding at all.

However, late resignation begets many unanswered questions throwing many into dissary, confusion, and suspicion to believe true motive behind resignation decision. Members of parliament, have to lower their appetite for the top seat, they too have stakes to mend and straighten in their constituencies. Hon William Kamket is petitioning Kapedo to go to Baringo county and Turkana legislators are on FB pages castigating and pretending to cry for their beloved county. Sad! It's all political HYPOCRISY and disdained convenience. You don't call a cooking pot black when you're also part of the cooking system.
