Golden Power Series Round 5 report.

I am a bit late with this report but anyway haha 😄
It was a successful weekend at the Albury Wodonga Kart Club for the GPS, even if the end result was slightly disappointing.
Qualifying was super close with a gap of only 0.07 between pole and myself in 6th. I didn't manage track position properly in and caught traffic on every lap.
The heats were interesting with white line racing and elbows out from the kids in the class but I was able to come away with a 6th and two 2nds.
The final I had a gut feeling something was going to happen between P1 and P2 on the grid. My gut was right and they tried driving on the same bit of track going into turn one off the start. They spun across the front on my kart lucky only bumping the nose cone but I fell to last. I was able to drive from 7 seconds behind and last to only 2 seconds back, have the fastest lap and cross the line 2nd. Unfortunately the contact at the start gave me a drop down relegating me to 4th.
Good progress on the kart over the weekend so very happy.

It has been pretty quiet for me lately on the racing front.
I am very busy at work and really absorbing everything there is to being a first time dad.
However this weekend I'll be racing the Golden Power Series at the Albury Wodonga Kart Club .
I have been out testing and the CROC Promotion Karts Australia CM-01 is feeling great. There is this more in it too so I am hoping for a good result.
Let's have some fun this weekend 😀

I am actually home and able to do the 4th round of the V8 SCOPS Premier Series.
I only attempted one night of pre qual and was able to finish in the top 15. Setup still need some work but we should be on for a good race tonight.

Golden Power Series round 2 report.

It was a solid first outing in my brand new CROC Promotion kart for the second round of the GPS series.
It was a last minute call to race so I only got a quick shake down in the kart Friday at the Albury Wodonga Kart Club before making the trip to Rochester.
The kart was great to drive all weekend and very easy to make changes too. I ran a very basic setup for the entirety of the weekend to learn more about the characteristics of the new kart.
I was able to stay within the top 3 all weekend and finish 3rd in the final.
With more time for testing we will only get faster.
It was Aiva's first weekend away and she did very well. One very proud dad right here.
Thanks to Wodonga Karts and Parts and CROC Promotion Karts Australia for all the help and support over the weekend.
A massive shout out to Simon and Mel for letting us use the ac in their van to help keep Aiva cool.
Keen for the next outing!

Results.

Well the news is out! I have made the decision to step away from the Logitech G V8PRO Invitational Series as a full-time driver.
With Gemma and I welcoming our beautiful daughter Aiva into the world and a want to do more racing in karting with CROC Promotion Karts Australia the decision was made to depart from the series. With these commitments I wouldn't be able to put enough time into the series to be as competitive as know I can be.

I am very excited to be able to team up with Jordan Ross and the Synergy Sim Racing team for the enduros. I wish the SSR team luck for the year in the series.

I have loved my time in the series and I look forward to being a co-driver this year.

A major driver bombshell has stunned the 2025 Logitech G V8PRO Invitational Series just weeks ahead of the season opener at Sebring. One of the series’ to

Good first night in prequal for the WK&P SimSports boys.
Myself and Troy are currently in split 1
Billy and Josh in Split 2.
Definitely more time on the table for us all.

He might have officially jumped the gun last night announcing himself as holding the top time, but turns out Madison Down was onto something as his best lap sets the benchmark for the opening night of Pre-Qualifying and taking his Trans Tasman Racing Camaro to the only time below a 1:36.3!

Some of these margins are ridiculously close between individual drivers - take the next two drivers for instance, with just 0.0081s putting Phoenix Racing Team's Rehan Liyanage ahead of Zach Rattray-White for Vermillion Esports!

A host of familiar faces and teams in this series can be seen in the top 10 - Emily Jones and Jake Moloney make it a trio of TTR cars toward the front, Evolution Racing Team is represented by Beau Albert, Worboys MotorSport puts on a strong showing for WK&P SimSports and slots in ahead of Jake O'Reilly who makes it 2 Vermillion cars in the 10.

And while the faces aren't new - James Scott being the defending champion after all - both him and Dylan Rudd have hit the ground running in their first V8SCOPS outing for The Chiefs Esports Club, sitting line astern in 7th and 8th positions respectively!

And it's not just the very front of the field that's close - the margin for the cut off between splits 1 & 2 sits at 0.0078s, and the smallest margin in the current list of 80 drivers who set a time yesterday is 0.0032s separating Stacey Boyd and Liam Wild for 59th and 60th places!

For the full results from Pre-Qualifying, you can view them here - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15jpKMjBqSZwC5eVScJAUW7qP1m52N_atG3-AN1yRV0I

Sessions resume at 4pm AEDT today for Day 2, and it's not just Pre-Qualifying that's on - check back later!

The OSR - Oceanic Sim Racing Bathurst 12 hour has been run and won for another year.
This year the team ran in the GT4 class and it did not disappoint.
Our team for the race consisted of Chris, Troy, Russ and myself. We may not have had the fastest car but definitely showed we could mix it with the team that race these are alot more than once or twice a year like us 😉.
We had some bad luck at the start going 4 laps down and last to finishing 4th and even leading the race at one point.

I am definitely keen to do more of these endurance races!

Thanks to OSR for hosting the race and all the race sponsors.

This season I am having a crack at the SRW Sim Racing World Tuesday night V8s
So far so good, if not for a pc failure in round 2 I'd be right up the front in the championship. There is still a long way too go so let's see if we can win the champions 🏆

As always a massive thanks to our sponsors

It is sure to be a very interesting race with weather predicted but we will keep our car as clean as possible and hopefully be in for a good result in the last hour.
