Gwen made us lunch again with her yummy crate. The following conversation happened:
Harvey: “You could be a chef, Gwen!”
Gwen: “Well I still want to be a mom.”
Harvey: “You could be a mom chef!”
Gwen: “I just want to be a mom who knows how to cook really well, like mom.” (I don’t cook that well, lol)
Harvey: “Yeah, cause moms and dads who don’t know how to cook: they’re just crazy!”

I’m really proud of her… in her own words: it’s a success! 🥹

Gwen followed her first recipe today all on her own and made grilled cheese for her and her brothers for lunch! Homeschooling is one of the best decisions I’ve made for me and my kids, and I can’t wait to see how they continue to grow and learn all kinds of things while I get to keep them at home 🥰

Just a quick update for everyone!
👨‍⚕️ Monday I go in for surgery, I’m getting my deviated septum and turbinates fixed. I’m hoping this will dramatically improve my health. 🤞

📖 Our novel is currently with beta readers and we are hoping to get feedback by the end of August so that September can be our last editing hurrah and we can begin to query agents!!

🎥 Although I am becoming more active on YouTube, I will be taking a little break to recover from surgery. I will probably be reading a lot of books 📚 over the next few weeks.

Here is our messy Christmas morning look. Messy with smiles. Harvey threw up three times over the course of the night, Tristan experienced his first nightmare, and we all were up and opening gifts by 5am anyway so that we could get to church and say the prayers by 9am. 😆 what a day… and with all of that, the kids still insisted that it was the best Christmas they’ve ever had 🥲 love this little family of mine and Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays to you all 🥰

This girl loves animal crossing, so for Christmas I decided to *make* her 20 amiibo cards. She is finally going to get villagers that she loves and it was such a fun project for me. (Took me making 20 of them to finally get the hang of it lol)

This kid turned 3 today 🥰 I can’t believe how big he’s getting! He speaks SO well, he’s obsessed with dinosaurs 🦖, he loves his siblings more than anything; honestly, he’s just made our family so blessed. His favorite phrase right now is, “Hey mom, did you never hear about the honkers?” And I still don’t know where he learned that but it makes me laugh every time. (Sesame Street, possibly?!) I’m so glad that he joined our family 3 years ago and I’m so excited that he’ll be part of our family for eternity. What a little hunk 😍

This move has exhausted even the most rambunctious of us. Tristan hasn’t had much of a place on my timeline, not because we aren’t obsessed with him around here, I just haven’t taken as many pictures! So here is the little almost 1 year old! 🥰 I can’t wait to show you guys the wonderful progress we’ve made on this home. It’s starting to feel like ours, finally. 🏡

I’ve been reading through my husband’s rewrite of Book 1 and this has got to be my favorite exchange in the book so far. Oh, Meredith. She is such a feisty character, and she’s been so fun to write, but golly the depressing backstory. Seeing her personality come stronger through the pages has been a real treat as I’ve been monitoring my husband’s writing talent. I can’t wait for you all to really get to know her!
