Topic: Admiration versus Idealization
Nowadays, all around the globe, these two terminologies, i.e., Admiration and Idealization, need to be understood because the issue of not focusing on these terminologies is lasting unwanted effects worldwide. According to the understandings provided by the "Oxford Dictionary," Admiration is an act in which an individual is influenced by one or many appreciable traits of another individual. At the same time, Idealization is simply considering another individual as perfect. Now, when the process of Idealization, which means considering someone as perfect, is performed entirely, ignoring the fact that no one can be termed perfect, massive negative consequences hit us. For example, by considering any politician as an ideal, we surrender our ability to identify anything wrong done by that politician; we praise every word he pronounces, irrespective of whether it is correct or incorrect, and ultimately pay the price. In the Idealization of any celebrity, we usually aim to become that celebrity precisely, adopting every habit of that celebrity, and, in this whole process, we run away from the fact that as this celebrity is not perfect, he must possess something wrong which we shouldn't adopt in our personalities. Still, because we consider them ideal, we ignore the logic that goes against them. So, we need to start admiring personalities rather than idealizing them so that we provide ourselves with the ability to tell them the right thing if they do something wrong.
