Started my playthrough of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and I'm enjoying it so far.

Heard only good things about this game,its actually the reason why I had all faith that Unicorn Overlord would also turn out to be good (aside from liking the art and play style even from the first trailer) - then it got added to PS Plus and I installed it immediately... then a year passed and it got removed without me ever opening it. LOL!

Anyway, first thought. It was all that I expected and also not? Its weird,I know that its a turn-based mech-strategy game which it is but also played a bit differently? I also know that it is story-heavy and delivers it like a visual novel but not really? The story is really intriguing though,im only 7 episodes in but so many things have already happened and big details revealed and me hooked! The pacing is so good!

I'm taking my time with it though,hope it only gets better from here.

Finished our first run of Donkey Kong Bananza!

Final boss fight took waaay longer to beat than every other bosses the game had before it, and venturing to the core also felt quite a bit more challenging and linear than the rest of the game. Defintely kept me locked in more than the previous stages, daughter was asking to play the Patrick Star game an hour into the stage though. LOL!

The game went straight to post-game content after the credits,was expecting a do-what-you-want, go-anywhere play similar to Mario Odessey (which my kid prefers) but it actually continues the story, surprisingly. More adventuring for us I guess. 😅

Hope the DLC stages has a good amount of story-focus on these new additions cause I need them to explain WTH THOSE KAMEN RIDERS ARE DOING IN THE GAME!?

I mean,30 did have the Netflix Ultra's but kaiju and stuff so yeah - but this? LOL! not complaining,just surprised. Maybe they're just trying to remind me to finish that SD Generation of Heroes game on PSVita 🤷🏻😅

Oh,how did I forget this epic double feature at the end of this month. LOL!

Beat Kirby and the Forgotten Land with my kid and she still replays a couple of stages 'til now so the expansion is a sure go for us.

As for the Super Robot Wars Y,i wasnt so sure if I wanted to get it day 1 - SRW30 was a fun, fanservice-y entry to the franchise but its gameplay-loop, with the new stage select feature that includes quite a bit of side stories, DLCs, and other filler stages, it felt never ending. Add to it the farming and grinding stages, there was very little challenge to it so I never got myself to finish it even though I got the Ultimate edition that comes with everything that it offers. I tried the demo for SRWY last week and right of the bat the story was weird. I wasnt also a fan of the series inclusions this time around but the game starts by introducing the series new comers first so at least that was interesting for me. But by the end of the demo,even just 4 stages in,it already took a pretty interesting turn for the story that I am actually considering getting it now. So yeah,guess this 2 would bey next games in-line to play.

Both are on the Switch 2 but the exchange rates have been awful now,hoping the SEA EShops open up before the end of this month so these games could come with our regional pricing. 😬

Look who finished another 100hr game 🥴

"I couldnt seem to find the time" but most of what I play have been long JRPGs,LOL,! Although i've also been playing Donkey Kong Bananza with my daughter quite a bit just for that quick "ooga-booga" brain blast 😅

Honestly,Unicorn Overlord is one of those games that i've really been wanting to play before release but wasnt able to get soon enough (maybe i would've if it was on PC). It was when I tried the demo that I felt the need to actually get to it and sit through the whole thing,and that I did! Its not really the type of JRPG that im used to playing but the game does a good job at teaching you its mechanics and it really boils down on your understanding of it on how smooth your playthrough would go. The game introduces a new character almost at every point of progress to the main story with every one playing a vital role in pushing the story forward. There are also no point in the game where the stakes go down making you feel like all your decisions and actions leads you ever closer to your final goal. There are grinding spots though where you can level up your allies or play around with your unit composition,you can choose from the 50+ characters that you get through story progression or hire mercenaries of the class of your choosing if you so choose to simply min/max your units during combat.

Having been done with it now,I did also get 13 Sentinels (from the same developers) from the recent sale so I might fire that one next. Or perhaps I should start with Clair Obscure Expedition 33 instead?

SD Sangoku Soketsuden - Guan Yu Yun Chang (Nu Gundam)

Built this around the same time as the God Gundam from my last post,but I think the gold paint on this one frosted a little(?) I've kinda been ignoring my SDs after these kits 😅

Built this back in 2019 I think with quite a bit of color correction and painting. Not too bad of a job i'd say,got tired of collecting this series though when I saw how quickly the library grew,I aint paintin' all that. LOL!

I KNEW IT!!! I FRICKIN KNEW IT!!! That the preorder price from the Nintendo Store on Shopee is jacked up!

Man,even games and accessories are all so expensive there it makes no sense! Nintendo needs to look at their distribution partner running that 'cause its crazy how bad they price all their stuff!

Now to wait for the Philippine EShop to go online so I can get the DK Bananza at SRP,seems like everyone priced it at $80 instead of $70 and I think I have an idea who did it. 😒
