Wine-ing Women of The Point stirred up some fun for a spellbinding evening, Witches’ Night Out filled with laughter, friendship and a little hocus pocus in every pour. Held on October 30 at the Youngblood home, the event supported the United Way. The party was hosted by Tara Youngblood, Denise Barnes, Heidi Roe, Danielle Doll and Gina Stamatis.

Meet the Rayments! Kevin and Katie’s paths are fascinating. They met at the UK Atomic Energy Authority—think Britain’s version of Los Alamos—where Katie worked in ultra-clean labs on forensics investigations. Her skills led to global consulting gigs, even pre-COVID remote work on tough projects, like prepping specialist laboratories for the security of London Olympics. Kevin knew at 17, after his first international trip testing aircraft and helicopters, that this was his calling. Now, Katie’s taken a 2025 break from projects to embrace “boy mom” life—suiting up seniors for photos, shuttling to club game and cheering from the sidelines.

Misty, the Meek family’s Alaskan Klee Kai, is a small dog with a big personality and an even bigger story. At home, Misty is affectionate and expressive. “She is a love bug,” Jacqueline says. “When you are down or sick she sticks close for a cuddle. She also has attitude and like the husky breed, she ‘talks’ to you when she wants something.” Misty enjoys lounging on the screened-in porch and keeping watch on the trail behind their home. “If I don’t open the door fast enough, she gives me this look like an annoyed teenager and ‘talks’ to me. I swear she has facial expressions to match.”
