This just happened! Eli caught his first musky, by himself, and Jax gave me the assist with a second one. Sahara Poole had one on, but it got off. Eli thought he was hung up and was jerking the rod trying to get unstuck 😂

Today will probably be the best day turkey hunting I will ever have. The morning started with a bang at 4:55 when Sahara killed her first Merriam off the roost. We took a short drive to another spot and struck 2 more gobblers. After making a couple moves on a snow capped mountain, we had them coming on a string. Eli sealed the deal and tagged out at 12 yards on his second bird in 2 days. The view we had while working these birds was postcard worthy and instantly made this one of my most favorite hunts. We hiked off the mountain and drove to the next spot and got on another bird. After spotting a gobbler we got in position. He took alot of coaxing, but in the end, the FOXPRO Inc. Heinous Hen brought him in, spitting and drumming, and Sahara punched her second and final tag for the trip at 12:05. What a day!

It was a tough weekend with single digit wind chills and slow movement. We hunted hard and while it wasn't the outcome we had hoped for, I'm proud of the outcome given the conditions. Sahara and Eli made some great shots, including double tapping a running coyote at 200 yards to complete a double.
