Back from my artist residency in Ísafjörður, Iceland this week. Was an exciting 5 weeks spent working and travelling in the remote Westfjord region, and have made a great start on my new immersive project 'Digitally Rewilding the Westfjords'.

On the final day of the residency I hosted a presentation at the local cinema, where I showed a behind-the-scenes documentary about my process, and first look of digital Ísafjörður. Amazingly about half the town came, and got really great feedback even though the project is nowhere near completion !

Part of 'THE UNSEEN'. A project highlighting the effects of what is becoming extreme artistic censorship on social media platforms.

'THE UNSEEN' is currently at Quantus Gallery in Shoreditch until June 24th. The show features portraits of creators who have had their work censored online and accounts banned because of their artistic content.

Last year my YouTube account was permanently suspended without warning and I am banned from creating a new account with my name and email. The reason? An algorithm detected I was using music by Universal Music Group.

I was using the music because I was hired by Universal Music Group to create a series of 9 visuals for my client Kid Brunswick. At no point was this checked on by a human, and my ban stands to this day. I have also been suspended on multiple counts from instagram for this same reason. I have never used unlicensed music and was directly commissioned by the label that the algorithm was protecting.

Excited to announce my piece 'ANTICOMMUNION' has been accepted to the 18th Athens Digital Arts Festival !

My video artwork will be on display at the exhibition at Kotzia Square in the beautiful capital of Greece as part of this year's 'FutuRetro' theme.

I will be on site this weekend - looking forward to meeting more visual artists, performers and tech pioneers. 🤓
