Lychee Panna Cotta (Khúc Bạch Vải) Recipe ✨
Ingredients:
2 lbs fresh lychee (peeled & pitted)
2 cups whole milk (unsweetened)
2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp + 1 tsp gelatin powder
1/3 cup sugar
Instructions:
- Peel half of each lychee to make it easier to hold, then use a small knife or scissors to remove the seed.
- Soak the lychee in ice water to keep it crunchy.
- Bloom gelatin by mixing it with a little water. Let it sit for 5 mins.
- Heat milk, cream, and sugar over low heat until warm (don’t boil).
- Turn off the heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Drain the lychee by turning them upside down, then place them into a glass container.
- Pour the cooled mixture over the lychee.
- Refrigerate for at least 5 hours or overnight until set.
