eeeeeekkkkk!!!! I guess we’ve got some updating to do 🥹🙏 a full chat about what on earrrthhh is going on, where we’re going, what we’re doing & why is up on already BUTTT if you haven’t seen it (or you’d rather just read it than listen to us yapping for 20 minutes)
We’re moving back to Melbourne 😭🙏🇦🇺🐨✨
Now I KNOW I KNOW you’re thinking okay?? And ?? We’ve seen this film before!? British couple moves to Australia, we getttt it - but honestly guys on a personal level it really does feel so different this time!! Long story short: Tom got offered a job based in Melbourne & everything did just feel like this opportunity wasn’t one we should let pass us by!!! So in a very speedy turn around (and a very very stressful visa application process but more on that another time lmao) we are BACK IN AUSTRALIAAAAA!! 2nd year working holiday visa letsss gooo!
The last few weeks have been some of the busiest and most stressful of my life in terms of quickly wrapping up things I was doing and working on in the UK, hosting a group trip with 18 other people in the Philippines all whilst Tom flew onwards to Melbourne to start a brand new job, whilst both of us looked for apartments (me from Asia, not ideal) ANDDD both of us spending multiple hours of each day on the phone to the embassy and the immigration office to sort out visa processing issues, it’s fair to say: landing back into Melbourne felt like the biggest metaphorical AND literal sigh of relief I’ve maybe ever felt. It feels sort of like coming home, honestly (not to be cringe but this city just IS where we’re meant to be right now) ✨🦘
Anywayssss!!! Managed to waffle all over again, but I’m so excited to bring you along on this journey and I’m even more excited for the potential content I’m gonna be shooting here!! I loveeee the shift in YouTube content I’ve made recently, and I want more than anything to continue that, so we’re both looking at this as a new chapter and a new challenge!! One I feel very very excited for, and even more so to be doing it together 🥹🩵 Proud of you always, but especially right now, this was a huge opportunity and I’m just very very grateful to be here 😭🇦🇺
