Only 2 weeks until our Grand Championship/Worlds Invite Event. A big thank you to our sponsor (the real Geoff Sanders). Everyone will be getting a bonus hard plastic participation card! I know, I know… I can’t go past the best ship in the game - yes that’s right, it will be Ahsoka in an A-wing!
But how about the correct date on the trophy? - It's no longer 2020! - Don’t worry we got you covered - We have made up a trophy for both the main event and for day 2! This is on top of the pile of prizes as part of the kit - which include top in faction prizes, like alt dial covers, pilots and damage decks.
Day 2? What’s this, do you want to know more?
For those that do not make the top 8 cut, day 2 will be run similar to our mini event tournament - It will be a 12 point “chance encounter” - Standard format, 2 ship minimum 50 minute rounds. It will following our usual mini-tournament rules which include:
No Large base ships
No Ensnare
No Adv. Sensors
No Precog Reflexes
No Supernatural Reflexes
No duplicate chassis (must have different ships used)
Entry to the event is $45 and covers both days.
But wait! How about more prizes? Well Somenob Nobbie has arranged more Star wars Pop Figures as a lucky door giveaway. All you need to do - is pre-register (this greatly helps us arrange the correct number of tables, boards and mats) Send Somenob Nobbie a DM and confirm your rego - it will involve sending some money to the store directly, and boom - you go in the entry for more free s**t (and there are quite a few up for grabs!)
Lastly a couple of points regarding the event about what will be legal and what isn’t.
- You can use https://infinitearenas.com/ print out cards (but you must have the original cards on hand as a reference and these can be requested by your opponent)
- Objective tokens: I will allow bomb tokens to replace the objectives but be marked in such away to make it obviously different from a regular bombs either painted one side or a sticker over the bomb token.
- Any DIY home-made tokens or acrylic must be checked and confirmed with the TO before starting the event.
- ALL PAPER PRINTOUTS ARE BANNED! - Both for FO Tie Whisper bases (you MUST proxy same i # base) & for objective tokens.
- DIY print out objective tokens must be pasted on cardboard of reasonable thickness and be of reasonable quality - final decision rests with TO (I suggest everyone brings bomb tokens as backup)
- If a person has Objective tokens approved by the TO - these will take precedence over bomb tokens.
- Scenario actions are only allowed in the perform action step (this is the ships first action, and not the subsequent free actions - sorry Poe/Darth Vader)
- The event will be 5 round day 1, Top 8 Cut Day 2
- There will be no draws - while time remains, players continue until a winner is decided by VP points. If time is reached, the winner is decided by ROAD roll - First player wins.
