The Marketing Communications Specialist will report to the Director of Corporate Marketing and will play an important role in executing Rosendin’s digital vision, which is focused on the creation of relevant and impactful emails and social media content. They will be responsible for developing the voice for all aspects of the organization’s online presence. In addition to writing, editing, and posting social content, they will develop internal and external communications, and support corporate branding initiatives through a variety of media channels including website, video scripts, and newsletters. Under the leadership of the Director of Corporate Marketing, the Digital Communications Specialist will track analytics and work in partnership with the Marketing Managers of content/brand management, and research/strategy, as well as the Marketing Specialists to maintain consistency of brand in order to ensure high editorial standards, and messaging.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintaining a daily presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
2. Implementing and executing a social media strategy, coordinating with the Director of Corporate Marketing and Rosendin’s divisions and departments across the nation.
3. Demonstrating an in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms along with their respective participants (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios. Knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.
4. Managing social media campaigns and day-to-day activities; duties include creating editorial calendars, producing engaging photos and content for posts, scheduling posts, audience building, running social media advertising campaigns, managing comments/messages/mentions across multiple channels, interacting with industry leaders, sharing relevant content to increase engagement.
5. Creating and editing videos for YouTube and other social platforms.
6. Advocating for clients in social media spaces through social listening, engaging in dialogues, and answering questions where appropriate.
7. Driving relevant traffic to the website through content re-purposing (blogs, articles, videos, slide shares, infographics, etc.) and campaign performance tracking.
8. Developing, monitoring, and reporting effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, while analyzing, reviewing, and reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns.
9. Developing comprehensive social media and digital communication analysis on a quarterly basis.
10. Regularly providing insights gained from social media monitoring to internal team members; seeking out new opportunities in the digital space.
11. Knowledge of 3rd party social media applications (preferred Hootsuite, Monday, PicMonkey, Sendible, TweetDeck, Pagemodo, Animoto, Marketo, Sprinklr).
12. Supporting team members regarding client needs and recommendations.
13. Managing SEO for company website.
14. The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Digital Communications, Social Media, or related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing and/or communications with experience in social media marketing.
Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
•In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn)Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Spark)
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, graphic design layout, and printing/publishing skills are essential. Demonstrated ability to create cohesive design that supports communication messaging.
• Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and meet multiple, simultaneous deadlines.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience writing smart, modern, optimized, engaging social media copy, including writing headlines and social language, and selecting images with social reach potential.
• Experience creating graphics and visuals optimized for social media.
• Proactive problem solver, and strong instincts for when to escalate issues.
• Strong ability to tell a story effectively through a range of media engagements (interviews, op-eds, backgrounding, speeches, videos, etc.).
• Understanding of how to link communications activities to business strategy and goals.
• Experience with SEO and inbound marketing principles.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
• Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
• Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
• Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
