The wait is up! The gospel album “Mercy” by David Woolridge Music is up! We went a little outside the box for David with a lot of these. We gave him a slightly new sound just for fun! We went heavy organ to fit the gospel sound, and tried to blend in some haunting harmonies on a couple more. My personal favorite “this side of the dirt” is definitely new to Dave and honestly surprised he let me play with his vocals as much as he did. While we threw in some new sounds we kept a couple tamed back just to keep it mainly in his style. Thanks to all the musicians who helped out, and now onto the next!

Sorry everyone, haven’t had an update for awhile, but David Woolridge Music and I have been working diligently on his Gospel album. We have 2 songs complete and a long way to go. Keep an eye out in the next month for our first single. Also, huge huge thank you to Flying Stallions for their work so far. Mark Burjek is co-producing this with me and we’re working on a little creative sound to give Dave. Can’t wait to share the progress with you all, and as always thanks for the love and support!

Dilectio Records is a central Illinois-based independent record label. Founded in 2022 by producer Dalton Woolridge, Dilectio aims to develop a distinct collection of artists with varying degrees of style, influence, and creativity. Woolridge refuses to define limits to the genres the label is willing to produce–the only requirements in the studio being an emphasis on originality and earnestness. Recording on Dilectio will allow the artist to be placed at the forefront of the creative process. The label will act solely as a conduit towards the artist’s final vision, thus yielding an environment where no idea is left unconsidered.

In an increasingly algorithmic industry, the local and/or independent musician requires a constructive and enthusiastic platform to deliver their message. Dilectio Records promises to be just that. Directly translating to “love” in English, “dilectio” serves as both a moniker and a mantra for this record label. Love for artists. Love for listeners. And most of all, love for the communal experience that music brings forth to the world.

I asked a friend of mine, Cole Blickensderfer, to write a bio for me. This gentleman is a very talented writer, and I appreciate his work immensely.

The wait is almost over! Strange will be on all streaming platforms this upcoming Friday! I wanted to get the long post out of way before the album. I’m beyond excited to release my first album, but it couldn’t have been accomplished without the help of some very talented artists.
