It’s quite surprising, even to me, how my perfume collection has recently expanded with tomato note-based fragrances. I would not say I am obsessed with this note, but who knows. Perhaps, it’s just that my nose gravitates towards tomato note-based fragrances.
This time, I would like to introduce you to ‘L’eau Rouge Heirloom’ fragrance. I collaborated with again, and I was kindly given this bottle to test and write a review.
When I spray ‘L’eau Rouge Heirloom’, it greets my nose with green, but soft, natural facets. Green and herbaceous fragrances can often lean sharp and sometimes overpowering, but this one feels gentle and balanced on my skin. A subtle hint of citrus lifts the composition beautifully, and there’s a delicate basil note I really enjoy: it’s present but not overpowering. ‘L’eau Rouge Heirloom’ is a pretty linear fragrance, meaning that it does not shift dramatically from top to base notes. I quite like that. It suits the relaxed, effortless character of this scent.
It might not be the most unique fragrance I’ve ever encountered, but with summer around the corner, I can already see it becoming a go-to. It’s refreshing, invigorating, and simply fun to wear!
What charmed me the most was the incredibly creative packaging! Instead of a standard box, the perfume comes in a can, just like real canned tomatoes. And the cap? It’s a small, artistic sculpture that adds a playful, original touch. This clever design makes the ritual of putting on the scent really fun!
All in all, ‘L’eau Rouge Heirloom’ is a fresh, easygoing scent that’s perfect for warmer days. Its charm lies in its simplicity, wearability, and creative presentation. If you’re curious about tomato leaf notes or just looking for a fresh summer pick-me-up with a twist, I would definitely recommend trying it!
