Àwọn ìpìlẹ̀ àtikẹ́kọ̀ọ́ èdè Yorùbá.
The basics of learning the Yorùbá language.
1. Ẹ̀kọ́ èdè Yorùbá pin sí mẹ́ta.
a.) Ẹ̀kọ́ Èdè/Gírámà. (Yorùbá Lexis and structure lessons)
b) Ẹ̀kọ́ Àṣà àti Ìṣe Yorùbá (Yorùbá culture and way of life - acts and deeds)
d. Ẹ̀kọ́ Lítíréṣọ̀ alohùn àti àpilẹ̀kọ (Oral and Written - prints or
electronic Literature).
Ẹ̀KA ÈDÈ YORÙBÁ.
Ẹ̀ka èdè Yorùbá méjì ni a lè kọ́.
There are two branches of the Yorùbá language that could be learnt.
Àwọn ni (They are);
1. Èdè Yorùbá àjùmọ̀lò. Standardized/Universal Yorùbá language.
2. Èdè Yorùbá àdúgbò/Ẹ̀ka èdè Yorùbá. Yorùbá Language sub Ethnic groups
dialects.
Ẹ̀KỌ́ ÈDÈ YORÙBÁ JÁKÈJÁDÒ ILÉ Ẹ̀KỌ́ NÍ ILẸ̀ YORÙBÁ (ÀTI ÀWỌN IBÒMÍRÀN) .
THE YORÙBÁ LANGUAGE TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS ACROSS YORÙBÁ LAND (AND OTHER PARTS)
Èdè Yorùbá àjùmọ̀lò ni èdè Yorùbá tí à ń kọ́ ní àwọn ilé ìwé tí ó wà ní ilẹ̀
Yorùbá, tí wọ́n sì ti ń kọ́ èdè Yorùbá.
A ti pín èdè Yorùbá àjùmọ̀lò, tí à ń kọ́ ní àwọn ilé-ẹ̀kọ́ wa, sí oríṣi méjì báyìí. The standard Yorùbá language taught in schools are now categorized into two.
Àwọn ìpín yìí ni. These categories are:
1. Èdè Yorùbá ení/kìíní (Yorùbá L1) fún àwọn tí èdè Yorùbá jẹ́ èdè àkọ́kọ́ tí wọ́n gbọ́ ní ilé àti agbègbè wọn. Those whose first language is the Yorùbá language. They are exposed to it at home and their immediate environment. (Yorùbá Language 1 - Yorùbá L1)
2. Èdè Yorùbá èjì/kejì (Yorùbá L2) fún àwọn tí èdè Yorùbá kì í ṣe èdè tí wọ́n kọ́kọ́ gbọ́ ní ilé tàbí ní agbègbè tí wọ́n ń gbé. Those who Yorùbá language is NOT their first language. They are exposed to it at home or in their immediate environment as a second language. (Yorùbá Language 2 - Yorùbá L2)
This class is for both types of learners.
Ohun tí yóò ṣe ọ̀tọ̀ nínú àwọn ẹ̀kọ̀ọ́ wa yìí ni wí pé a ó máa ṣe ògbufọ̀ àwọn ẹ̀kọ́ yìí sí èdè Gẹ̀ẹ́sì. Eléyìí ni láti rí i dájú pé a kó gbogbo adìẹ wa wọ̀ sínú àgò.
The only unique feature is that we would endeavour to have English interpretations so as not to leave anyone out.
