🎉RIDING THE ADVENTURE 25 YEARS ON!!🇬🇧🎠🎡🎉
25 years ago today, Valhalla at Pleasure Beach Resort opened to the public in a blaze of publicity and an opening event that continued right on into the night, with fireworks from the roof!
Jonathan Ross opened the ride, sponsored at the time by the Daily Star, with a whole host of press, VIP celebrities and street entertainment creating a truly special day after many years of construction.
I was there (on my day off from the Big One 😬🤣👍) and was in the queue as it opened, and it was truly spectacular.
Anybody else remember opening day? Where you there?
I do have photos somewhere, including a ride photo from the staff ride after they first started testing but can't find them, will post them when they turn up.
