Introducing band 3 of 4 that I’ll be working with on this project: Fighting for Daylight. This is the solo alt-rock/emo project of Adrian Duenas, that started in 2015 out of Crownsville, MD and made a move to SC. I look forward to telling his story about the ups and downs of creating music alone, becoming a part of his local scene, and compiling a full band for his most recent tour.

I’d like to introduce band 2 of 4 that I’ll be working with on this project: Palm Tree Square ( on IG). They’re a four piece indie/emo/math rock group from central Florida that only just formed in early 2018, but have gained a lot of momentum with their twinkly/catchy sound. Stay tuned for a video on their formation and how they created their debut EP.

I’d like to introduce the first of four bands I’ll be working with on this project: ODDESSY ( on IG). They’re a five-piece alt/post hardcore band from Metuchen, NJ that formed in 2004 but recently made a comeback with a new album in 2018 after a 12 year hiatus. I’m extremely excited to tell their story about starting/gaining traction during the coveted “screamo boom” of the mid-2000s.

Welcome to Local Band History. I’m currently working with 4 local, unsigned bands (NJ/MD/FL) to tell their stories about how they formed, their defining moments together, and what’s coming next. I think it’s important to realize how much hard work goes into making and maintaining a band, and that’s why I’m doing this project. Stay tuned for the videos to come.
