Hello fellow music believers.
What a year 2024 was. We both hope you had an amazing Christmas and New Years.
Lets address the elephant in the room: Yes, there were no episodes of the podcast this year. That certainly wasn't by design or choice. Life was/is incredibly busy. Simon was working a variety of projects as well as being a great dad (by his own admission) and supportive partner.
As for myself? Well it was a lot harder than I imagined. I changed to a new role which created new opportunities, however there was a lot going outside of work. It took a massive toll on myself mentally. I would open up the laptop to work on an ep and I would just not be able to do it. Thankfully, I am getting better and I have my friends and wonderful partner Meg to thank for that.
What does that mean for the podcast? We both miss doing it. Not just for the fun of creating but it meant we got to catch up regularly. We both want to do something, but how that plays out is yet to be determined.
IN THE MEANTIME, I've created a play list of song that I have been currently jamming. Some of which were songs I loved in 2024, some from well before that. Just whatever got my funk going. I'll let Simon collaborate with the playlist so he can add in his songs as well as we all want to hear his wonderful choices. I'm sure none of them will be noisy, drone s**t.
