🍔 Pepperoni Pizza Burger Recipe
🧾 Ingredients (Serves 2)
For the Beef Patties
300g ground beef (80/20 fat ratio)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
Toppings
1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or 4 slices)
12–16 slices of pepperoni
2 burger buns (brioche or sesame)
Butter (for toasting buns)
Fresh basil or oregano (optional)
🔪 Instructions
Step 1: Make the Beef Patties
Gently mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
Divide into two equal portions and shape into patties slightly wider than the bun (they shrink when cooked).
Press a small dimple in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.
Step 2: Cook the Patties
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side for medium doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, spoon 1–2 tbsp marinara sauce onto each patty and top with shredded mozzarella.
Cover with a lid briefly to melt the cheese.
Step 3: Crisp the Pepperoni
In a separate pan, lightly fry the pepperoni slices until just crispy (1–2 minutes).
Drain on paper towels.
Step 4: Toast the Buns
Butter the insides of the buns.
Toast face-down in a skillet until golden.
Step 5: Assemble the Burger
Bottom bun
Spoon of marinara
Beef patty with melted cheese and sauce
Crispy pepperoni slices
Extra mozzarella or basil if desired
Top bun
