A high school teacher-turned police officer, Lt. Meet Ben Firestone--a man you may know nothing about but you think you know everything about him. A great orator on stage with great charisma, he eventually steps into politics, becoming the city mayor, and he is running for his second term. But people know nothing about his past; he just popped up in the city some years ago and the rest is history. Though popular on stage and on TV, he is confronted by a strong contender in an almost 50-50 tie. 72 hours before the election day, he gets shot. Fortunately, he survives and demands that the police get to the bottom of the murder. Will he get a second term?

Meet Jay Schaffer, a German American whose family immigrated to the US shortly after World War II. Jay is known to be prideful, which gets him into a lot of trouble. He is a proud American and a firm believer in law and order. He got that from his father, who was unfortunately killed in action in the police force. He joins the police force to be like his dad. Can he solve the crime in 72 hours?
