A yellow-blue flag was raised over the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on September 4, 1991.
This is a significant day for the people of sovereign Ukraine. After painful decades of inhuman communist terror, the country confidently continued the course of national development.It was a mouthful of freedom. The yellow-blue flag on the building of the highest legislative body of the state symbolized the beginning of a new era for the mutilated country.
