ANOTHER TITLE IX LAWSUIT 🚨 ADF represents teacher group and female athlete who lost chances to compete to male teammate and endured that teammate’s s*xual comments.
A 15-year-old West Virginia girl (Adaleia) who lost opportunities in her own sport to a male—who also made vulgar, s*xual comments to her—is asking to join a lawsuit against the Biden admin. We filed a motion on behalf of Adaleia to intervene in a multi-state lawsuit challenging the administration's illegal rewrite of Title IX—which would allow males who identify as female to access women’s locker rooms and sports across the country.
In the filing, Adaleia explains that last year she was forced to compete in track and field events with a male, who took away her spot to compete in a conference championship. She also had to change in the girls’ locker room with the male athlete and endure that student’s vulgar, s*xual comments. Since the male student was allowed to compete on Adaleia’s sports team, the student has knocked girls down the leaderboard over 600 times.
“Our client A.C. has already suffered the humiliation and indignity of being harassed by a male student in the locker room and on her sports team. No one else should have to go through that,” said ADF Legal Counsel Rachel Rouleau. “But the administration continues to ignore biological reality, science, and common sense. This court deserves to hear from those most severely impacted by the administration’s attempt to rewrite Title IX.”
ADF is also representing Christian Educators Association International, an association of teachers seeking to defend their free speech and right to access s*x-specific spaces like bathrooms without encountering people of the opposite s*x.
The Biden administration’s radical redefinition of s*x won’t just rewire our educational system. It means young girls will be forced to undress in front of boys in gym class, girls will share bedrooms with boys on overnight school trips, teachers and students will have to refrain from speaking truthfully about gender identity, and girls will lose their right to fair competition in sports.
