Michael Fishman began his acting career at the age of six when he was cast as D.J. Conner on the popular TV sitcom Roseanne. He landed the role after impressing Roseanne Barr during an audition with a joke, despite having no prior acting experience. This role as D.J. Conner became his most famous character, which he portrayed from 1988 to 1997 and reprised in the 2018 revival and subsequent spin-off, The Conners. His early start on Roseanne made him well-known as a child actor and established his long-standing presence in television comedy.
