Bristol born F1 driver Lando Norris has won the 2025 British Grand Prix for the very first time for McLaren.

BREAKING NEWS: LFC JOTA DIES IN CRASH

Portuguese born Liverpool FC footballer Diogo Jota (28) has died in a car crash along side his brother Andre (26), just two weeks after he married his long term girlfriend.

The father of three young children, died in the crash in north west Spain.

According to the Spanish authorities, the vehicle Jota was travelling in suffered a blowout on a motorway and caught fire.

NEWS AT TEN NEWSREADER DIES AGED 97

ITN's Sandy Gall, who presented News at Ten in the 80s, has died aged 97.

TV-am's WINCEY PASSES AGED 76

The former weather presenter on TV-am back in the 80s has died aged 76 from a form of dementia.

Her career began on Tyne Tees Television, before leaving for breakfast television. She juggled her time at TV-am weather presenting, with adjudicating on Treasure Hunt with Kenneth Kendall and Anneka Rice. Latterly, she has been presenting on BBC local radio in the North East. She did live for a time in Hereford.

She died in December 2024, but the media were only told today.

Goodbye Wincey. RIP

AIR INDIA FLIGHT CRASH. NO SURVIVORS.

An Air India flight AI171 has crashed in India just after take off. It's believed all on board have been killed.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner was flying from Ahmedabad bound for London Gatwick Airport, due in at 18.25 BST.

242 were on board, including staff, 11 children and 53 British nationals.

Families of those onboard are urged to call the emergency hotline on 020 7008 5000.

The flight crashed on a hostel that housed local doctors.

Our hearts go out to families and their friends.

UPDATE@14 45: One, maybe two, survivors may have been found amongst the wreckage.

NATWEST BRANCH IN SHOCK CLOSURE

NatWest have announced the closure of their Evesham branch, based in the Round House (Booth House) in Market Place.

The bank say that the branch will close next year in 2026, but no exact date has been revealed.

The Stratford-upon-Avon branch will also close, along with Redditch and many others across the Birmingham area.

The Evesham branch will close once the current renovations have finished.

Frederick Forsyth, writer of The Day of the Jackal, has died aged 86.

RAILWAY INCIDENT AT MARINA

Emergency services have been called to Evesham Marina after a man was seen falling from the nearby railway bridge.

The railway trespasser was seen by an oncoming train driver who brought his train to a halt.

It is believed that there was NO contact between the train and the trespasser.

West Mercia Police, British Transport Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service, HWFR and the Midlands Air Ambulance are all at the scene at the end of Kings Road in Bengeworth.

One injured man was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

The North Cotswold railway line was closed for a short time, but services are now up and running.

HIGH STREET CLOSED - COLLISION

Evesham's High Street is CLOSED BOTH WAYS following an accident. Emergency services are on the scene, including the air ambulance.

The road closure is between Avon Street and Vine Street.
