Hello Gentle Listeners,
After careful consideration we have decided that we'll be taking an indefinite leave of absence from the podcasting world. The details are in this episode but we have been truly honored to be in your listening ears for the last few years. We may come back in a completely different form or a slightly different version of ODK (or not at all). Only time will tell but in the meantime we wish you all the best and bid you adieu with one very large dry kiss. Thank you very much, MUAH!
Sincerely,
Tamara and Corinne

It's the final countdown of the Dash & Lily series, aka the New Year's Eve (and last) episode. Dash and Lily decide they're differences may not make them a good match. Can they recapture the magic they started in the red notebook before the year is over? In this episode we: discuss our 2025 New Year's resolutions and the things we want to leave behind in 2024 (Tamara says fuc*ing EVERYTHING), discuss all the characters that are making Corinne's eye twitch (we're looking at you Langston), and contemplate the potential for this series to conclude with a tragic Romeo and Juliet type ending (fear not gentle listeners it has a happy one). This is the perfect series to close out our 2024 year before we take the month of January off. Sometimes words are not enough, so in addition to our eternal gratitude for you listening in, we are also leaving you with one HUGE dry kiss, for the New Year, Happy 2025! Episode drops December 31st.

We are on episode 7 of the Dash & Lily series and it's quite possibly the most depressing of the lot. Dash and Lily finally have a face to face meeting but it's not the epic love story either imagined, and there's puking involved. In this episode: Corinne tells her own true version of a Christmas Carol (involving dead sister sightings), we describe the saddest Christmas animatronics we ever saw, and talk sh*t about parents behaving badly (not our own...well maybe Tamara's cause her dad went to Hawaii once without her). This entire episode is simultaneously deep and shallow and there's so many people on the naughty list but we hope you still join us for Dash & Lily, the Christmas episode, which drops December 24th.

This week we are covering episode 5 & 6 of the Dash & Lily series (maybe the meatiest episodes). This week Dash and Lily are being courted by other people from their past. Will they find their way back to each other and their red notebook? In this episode we discuss: a very merry tree top 'o**y' between Gonzo and an X-man, introduce everyone to our Chiiistmas tree named Chauncy, and put Dash's dad on the Smarmy McSmarmington naughty list. We are fighting over ornaments this holiday but are in total agreement that this episode is full of all the adornments you would need especially the adorn-able love story between Dash & Lily. Episode drops December 17th.

We are in the second chunk of Dash & Lily, this week we are covering episode 3 titled Hanukkah & episode 4 titled Cinderella. In Dash & Lily's ongoing quest to get to know each other through notebook entries, they each challenge each other with dares to get out of their respective comfort zones, with mixed results. In this episode we: revisit Mixers the hot new singles club located in our living room that has everything (including drink equality), wonder aloud if the bar called The Rhythm Room has anything to do with contraceptives, and contemplate if line cutting is the root of New Yorkers surly attitudes (because there is a ton in this series). This whole episode is Christmas magic with a few sprinkles of dark, brooding, observations which are a perfect combination just like Dash & Lily. Episode drops December 10th.

This week we are giving you 2 for the price of 1. We are covering the first 2 episodes of Dash & Lily (there are 8 in total). Lily, in hopes of finding a Christmas romance, puts an anonymous scavenger hunt in a red notebook and hides it in her favorite bookstore. Dash comes across it, and in spite of being Lily's polar opposite, is intrigued and decides to play along. In this episode we discuss: the appropriate time to say 'Merry Christmas' during the holidays, if French pianism is a French p***s or a French piano, and why our next podcast undertaking will be called 'The Unwanted Roommate.' This episode is equal parts Christmas magic and melancholy perfection so we hope you float down Joni Mitchell's-River, with us, and Dash & Lily. Episode drops December 3rd.

We are at the 6th episode of The White Lotus or as we like to call it 'The Final Countdoooown.' The episode's proper title is Departures and the sh*t is going to hit the fan before all the guests return home...well most of the guests, that is. In this episode we: give a wallpaper interpretation that Tamara will regret forever, put a child leash on Corinne so she doesn't follow a stranger into a windowless van in search of her plunge pool, and discuss dicking around (literally and figuratively). We have very different POVs about the conclusion of this series, but we will save our comment cards for the end of our stay at The White Lotus. Episode drops November 12th.

We are on the next to the last episode of White Lotus. This one is called 'The Lotus Eaters'...or as Corinne would more aptly title it 'Regrets.' Everyone at the White Lotus is making bad decisions and we are here with our pocket popcorn to watch it all. In this episode we discuss: whether there's a market for romantic dinner funeral cruises (for a s*xier way to send loved ones off), how to successfully deal with a 'whole jar of irritated' or a 'bowl full of f*ck off' (hint-it's angry crying, and we're both experts), and why pumpkin patches and dinosaurs always go hand in hand. This whole episode hurts like a pretty little cut but we have no regrets as we round the corner into this (next to the) last episode at the White Lotus resort. Episode drops November 5th.

We are on part 4 of The White Lotus which is titled 'Recentering' but would be better titled 'The Episode of Lies' because there's nothing centering about this resort. For example, Rachel's mother in law shows up uninvited to her honeymoon, Tanya gets a questionable suitor, we find out why Paula is gaslighting her 'friend' and Armond gets his face caught in someone's backside. Additionally, in this episode we discuss: the most effective weapon you could find in a resort spa, how dolphins stimulate their nether regions, and how our gentle listeners can play a drinking game by taking a shot everytime we say pointedly (cause it's a lot). We are more than halfway through our stay here at the White Lotus and the train is coming off the tracks. But we are here for the (choo-choo) wild ride. Episode drops October 29th.

We are in Episode 3 of The White Lotus and this episode has everything: mysterious monkeys, s*xual innuendos and all kinds of bad decision dinosaurs. The mysterious monkey is Mark who decides to regale his teenage son about his s*x life, the s*xual innuendos come from Armond who's trying to proposition his employee, and the bad decisions are coming from everyone, like rapid fire. In this episode we discuss the magic of Cracker Barrel, SNL's Bowen Yang as Moo Deng the pygmy hippopotamus, and how some of the hotel guests would miss a red flag even if it was flung in the air by a flag girl squad accompanied by a school band while 'Your a Big Red Flag' was sung to the tune of Grand Ol' Flag. This is the most 'bananasa' episode to date and we are saddling up alongside the other Mysterious Monkeys to enjoy the show and we hope you join us. Episode drops October 22nd.

We are deep in episode 2 of The White Lotus and things are getting stickier in the relationship departments. The Mossbachers get a bit of good news, the Suttons get deeper into their problematic marriage and the White Lotus staff get stuckier (is that even a word?) into their guests' drama. In this episode we discuss: Thigh Master and Infinity Hoop envy, how Corinne was a more drug savvy child than Tamara, and how The Pineapple Room is Shane's Moby Dick. If this episode were an infomercial we would be hard selling episode 2 of The White Lotus, which you can get absolutely FREE if you tune in Tuesday October 15th (or anytime thereafter).

We are beginning our new series this week, The White Lotus. It's a dark 'comedy' instead of a rom-com but since we're in October it seems fitting. In our first episode we learn that the White Lotus is a luxury resort in Hawaii where we meet 'The Arrivals': the Mossbacher Family, Tanya McQuoide, and The newlywed Suttons who all have reservations at the posh accommodations. During the first days we realize that everyone has their own secrets and struggles bubbling under the surface that will eventually materialize as the series goes on. In this episode we: give pro travel tips like 'don't travel with your mom's ashes in a garbage bag', discuss whether the 'Pineapple' in the Pineapple Room stands for swingers or hospitality and describe how the glorious Jennifer Coolidge will suck the life out of us (and we'd probably like it). This series has everything diva twins, a prick baby man and the plunge pool Corinne requires so we hope you join us this week for our standing reservation at The White Lotus. Episode drops October 8th.
