We will have one of the Jocks do a spot for this event. Any and all events or news can be sent to us for the regular news rotation. Just FYI.
RUSHVILLE - The community of Rushville is rallying together to support a young couple who recently faced an unimaginable tragedy. Rushville residents and parents of a three-month-old boy, affectionately known as Baby G, lost their son due to a heart condition he was born with, although complications weren't expected. This unforeseen loss has left them not only grieving but also facing daunting financial challenges.
In response to this tragedy, Josh Moore and Jerrid Wright has organized a co****le tournament set for March 22, to raise funds for the family.
"Obviously, this young couple was not prepared mentally or financially for something like this to happen; this young couple is in need of our help," said Josh Moore, the event host. "They have medical expenses, funeral costs and common everyday expenses as they battle through this tragic time."
The tournament will be held at Rushville Elks, beginning with registration at 10:30 a.m., followed by the first games at noon. The cost is $10 per person. The event will have food, drinks and a silent auction featuring various items generously donated by local businesses and residents.
In addition to participating in the tournament, community members unable to attend can contribute directly to the family through Venmo -Foreman-1.
Those wishing to donate auction items or for more information, reach out to Josh Moore at (765) 570-6885 or Jerrid Wright at (812) 560-7824.
"We hope that you will join us in coming together to support a young family who recently experienced the unimaginable," Moore said. "Although Baby G spent a short time on this earth, he changed and touched the hearts of so many in his time. As you can imagine, as young parents or just parents in general, you never imagine this happening to you. We hope to see a massive turnout to show them they are not alone in this fight."
