Although we were unable to fly on over to Portland for the awards ceremony last night, we are delighted to share that "Dad vs. The World," the fouth volume of the "Life Lessons from a UFO Catcher" series, was presented the silver medal in the AAPI Communities category at this year's Independent Book Publishers Association's Book Awards. 🥈🎊🎉

Congratulations to all involved in the making of "Dad vs. The World," including author, Kenny UFO Catcher Ken Loui; artist, Yamawe; and Kenny's Dad, upon which the silly, happy-go-lucky stories within this book were based. 💕

Greetings, True Believers! We hope everyone's Valentine's Day has been off to a good start... or had a happy ending for those living on the other side of the globe.

UFO Comics would like to share and celebrate Yamawe's nomination for the Zelda Awards, a new awards program named after Zelda Jackie Ormes, the first Black female cartoonist in the United States, that seeks to "spotlight the undeniable contributions of women who are shaping the comic book industry."

Our debut manga series, "Life Lessons from a UFO Catcher," beautifully illustrated by Yamawe, was nominated in the Best Manga category.
