My focus has always been to create something that will help people.
I have a huge background in gaming spanning far longer than I would love to admit! I also use video games to not only express myself but to help my own mental health especially since I am now disabled. In recent years since being a parent I would encounter other parents confused and reading biased incorrect information on gaming in the home. These parents either had little to no background in gaming or they simply did not have the time to do the research required from all sources. I have also taken an interest in studies relating to mental health and especially how video games impact our mental health and those of our children. Most parents do not have the time or resources to look into all this and make it applicable for their family.
What I do as The Gaming Mum is simple. I use my knowledge on video games and my understanding of studies into mental health and psychology in helping you as the parent (or your child) navigate gaming in your home. Parental settings, gaming addiction, and even the affect it is having on your child. I want to help you with no judgement, just as another parent just like you.
While I have a variety of videos going live every week on a wide range of topics such as grooming, toxicity and cyberbullying, as well as more general gaming videos such as setting up parental settings – I cannot cover everything in the depth needed for some of you out there struggling and not knowing where to start. You do not need to struggle. There is help out there.
For everyone here reading this, I am offering a free chat with me via Zoom (no camera required) to gain some quick help. I do not want you to struggle in silence with something you do not understand. Perhaps you just want to vent about how long your child games! Or maybe you want to discuss things you’ve overheard said over voice chats. I have your back.
This offer will not be around forever. But I know that with the cost of living right now along with the time of year, you maybe have more questions than you can think of in regard to gaming in your home. Just quote TGMFB over on the form on my website at www.thegamingmum.com/consultancy or private message me here and we can set something up to suit you.
Don’t drown in the world of gaming, gaming can be for all and help make new memories as a family, together.
