Well...I really thought I had nailed this one with the wife.

Spend time earning credit card points over this pandemic time to earn travel credit: ☑️

Plan personal days to add on to our Spring Break this year: ☑️

Ask personal friends with children who are friends with our kids to come with for part of the trip: ☑️

Keep said secret for months: ☑️

Rent giant 5 Bedroom/5 bath house with a little private pool and all the space you would want and watch all travel credit you've spent 2 years accumulating disappear like the unicorns in my dreams when I wake up: ☑️

Buy subtle Christmas gifts like individual luggage for each kid which is filled with a Micky t-shirt and Micky Mouse ornament: ☑️

Watch said children look in confusion at getting luggage for Christmas but also watch the look of realization and excitement start to spread over their angelic faces as to what is happening: ☑️

That's right little Mother F'ers, Mommy and Daddy pulled off the big one! Suck it!: Also ☑️

Ask the kids if they want to see the house we will be staying in and feel the triumph as they eagerly say yes!: ☑️

Middle Child: "Uh Dad, this house looks....'cheap'".

Bulging vein on my neck: ☑
