We're so excited to take our flagship event, DRAG LOTERÍA, on the road! 💃🏻🎉
Our Lotería host Dela Rosa will be joining us on the trek to FBX where we'll be joined by Ice Watah, Cry Baby, and Reigning Miss Gay Alaska America 2024 OSHA Violation – our good Judys from Klondike Drag – to celebrate Latine & Hispanic Heritage Month with the University of Alaska Fairbanks! This sober event is happening this Thursday night as part of UAF's SoBear Fest for the campus community (and any other locals 18+ who want to experience this unique event celebrating QTBIPOC art and our Mexican culture). Shout out to our amazing partners with UAF Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability / The ORCA Pod, UAF Nanook Diversity and Action Center, and Recover Alaska for making this possible!
On a personal note, this is such a huge milestone for us after nearly 3 years of doing this as a mom & mom boutique production company. Drag Lotería started as a small pride party amongst friends in 2021 and it's evolved into this sacred local staple that brings people together from all walks of life and deliberately carves out a safe, intersectional space for our familia 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ We couldn't be more proud and grateful to share a little slice of our culture and community with another Alaskan community. It genuinely means the world to us and it's one of those little nods from the universe that tells us maybe we're doing something right. We're so humbled by it all.
