One year ago today I found out I was pregnant 🤰🤍
I will never forget this day - 7/15/2021 - as it changed my life forever. I took the test in our bathroom in Miami while my husband was working from home. I knew I wanted to surprise him on his birthday (7/18) so I had to put on my best poker face and pretend nothing happened for the next few days 🥴
I had to leave the house so I wouldn’t blow the surprise. I decided to go for a drive. I had no idea where I was going but I just kept driving. I started praying and crying and praying some more. Giving thanks for this amazing blessing, asking for strength to be the best mama I can be, and promising to give my all to this sweet little Angel. She truly is my bestie for life and I’m so incredibly grateful for her. 🤍

Motherhood 🤍
Social media can make motherhood seem glamorous and easy when in fact it’s very messy and challenging. I don’t remember the last time I wore my hair out of a bun, and I don’t remember the last day I actually slept through the night. Showers are a luxury and self care has reached the bare minimum. The house chores pile up over time. Coffee and the microwave have become my new best friend. It gets lonely and repetitive sometimes, and getting out the house can be hard.
But man oh man is motherhood precious. I get to watch this beautiful little person grow and bloom on a daily basis. I get to love someone and be loved back unconditionally. I get to protect a new soul and guide her as she navigates this world. I get to learn something new every day and I get to nourish another human with my body. What better gift is there.
I must give myself grace and praise because I’ve been holding it down on my own since she was 2 weeks old while my hubby works his butt off to provide for us. I didn’t know how strong I was until I became a mom! I didn’t know how much I could handle mentally and physically. I also didn’t know how many arms I have until I started shopping with a newborn 😅
Although we don’t have ANY breaks or time to ourselves we have been doing the best we can on our own. I believe we’re doing a great job! I love my little family they mean the world to me 🤍🙏
