The Wormdogs have a new record coming out this month! 👁️
Announcing our new album, It’s For You, will be out Friday August 15th ⚡️
It’s a shorty, no filler no singles, just the right amount of time to spin on your way up to where we’ll be celebrating all weekend for The Bolton Rag 8/15 and 8/16 ⚡️⚡️⚡️
We recorded this record (EP?) this winter over a week in New Orleans during the great blizzard of 2025. We got into town after touring South from VT just before the storm came, Eric George landed on one of the last flights to produce the project.
We kept the faucets dripping while the city shut down and recorded one song per day. We’d start the morning off acoustic at the house we were staying in, and work on an arrangement of someone’s song over coffee and breakfast. Then grab a po boy and head a few blocks over to the studio where we’d get a live take of the song, then add vocals and call it complete before bed.
We recorded everything in one room, all within spitting distance of each other, live to tape at Big Tone Records, the same studio where we did the last record. All instrumental tracks were done live and vocals/harmonies were sung around a single mic.
