At the 813th annual Urs Mubarak of Khawaja Gharib Nawaz(r) delegation of Indian Interfaith Parliament Offers Tribute at Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Prays for National Unity and Global Peace.

Haji Syed Salman Chishty - Gaddi Nashin of Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Chairman of Chishty Foundation welcomed the interfaith sacred ghilaf (chaddar) mubarak to mark the 813th annual Urs Mubarak of Khawaja Gharib Nawaz(r) at Ajmer Dargah Sharif which was presented under the leadership of Maharishi Bhrigu Peethadheeshwar Shri Guruji Goswami Sushil Ji Maharaj, National Coordinator of the Indian Interfaith Parliament (Bhartiya Sarv Dharma Sansad), a distinguished delegation visited the holy shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishty (Ajmer Sharif) to pay their respects, offer a ceremonial Chadar, and pray for the country’s harmony, strength, and global peace. Haji Syed Salman Chishty also honored the delegates with traditional turbans (dastarbandi) as a mark of respect.

The national interfaith leaders delegation was warmly welcomed at Nizam Gate by Sufi leaders Haji Syed Salman Chishty, Syed Afshan Chishty, Syed Riazuddin Chishty, Syed Mehraj Chishty, Syed Faridul Haq, Syed Aman Chishty, Syed Ali Haider Chishty and Syed Javed Chishty. Representatives from the Ajmer Sharif Anjuman Syedzadghan, including Syed Hasan Hashmi and Syed Aslam Hussain, also welcomed the interfaith delegation.

Sufi Tradition and Prayers
In keeping with the rich traditions of Sufism, all the spiritual leaders and guests were received with warmth and humility. The delegation offered their prayers at the holy shrine, led by Gaddi Nashin Haji Syed Salman Chishty and Syed Afshan Chishty, who led the group through the ziyarah (pilgrimage). Special prayers were conducted by Peer Syed Riazuddin Chishty and Anjuman Vice President Syed Hasan Hashmi for peace and harmony in India and the world.

Statements of Unity and Oneness
At the conclusion of the visit, all spiritual leaders collectively expressed their admiration for the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, recognizing it as a symbol of spiritual unity and devotion that transcends religious boundaries.

Maharishi Bhrigu Peethadheeshwar Shri Guruji Goswami Sushil Ji Maharaj remarked, “The Ajmer Sharif Dargah serves as a light of hope and faith for people of all religions. It exemplifies the essence of India’s secular and spiritual heritage.”

Father Sebastian added, “We pray for the peace and prosperity of our nation and strive to spread the message of love and compassion across the globe.”

Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok Ji said, “This sacred place unites people under the shared values of humanity, kindness, and universal brotherhood.”

Shri Gursimran Singh Mand Ji emphasized, “As representatives of diverse faiths, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering unity, understanding, and harmony in society.”

A Musical Tribute
The delegation also attended a soulful sufi qawwali session at the Arkat Dalan, an integral part of the Sufi tradition, which resonated with the messages of love, peace, and divine connection.

A Message of Hope
The visit concluded with a unanimous call for strengthening the spirit of oneness in the country. The delegation emphasized that platforms like the Indian Interfaith Parliament are vital for nurturing mutual respect among diverse communities.

“Ajmer Sharif Dargah is a living light of the fact that love and faith are the most potent forces for uniting humanity. Together, we aspire for a world where peace reigns supreme and the voice of India echoes across the globe,” they stated in unison.

The visit reflected a profound moment of interfaith solidarity and a shared prayer for the betterment of humanity.
