The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is Kawasaki’s middleweight supersport motorcycle — a high-performance sport bike designed for track and street riding.

Here are the key details:

Engine & Performance

Engine: 636 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, inline-4

Power: ~128 hp @ 13,000 rpm (without ram air)

Torque: ~69 Nm @ 11,000 rpm

Transmission: 6-speed with slipper & assist clutch

Top Speed: Around 260 km/h (varies slightly by year)

Chassis & Suspension

Frame: Aluminum perimeter

Front Suspension: 41 mm Showa SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork – Big Piston) USD, fully adjustable

Rear Suspension: Bottom-link Uni-Trak with gas-charged shock, fully adjustable

Brakes:

Front: Dual 310 mm discs with radial-mount 4-piston calipers

Rear: Single 220 mm disc

ABS available on most modern versions

Notable Features (recent models)

Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) with selectable modes

Power modes (Full & Low)

Quickshifter (upshift-only on most years)

Aggressive aerodynamic fairings inspired by the Ninja ZX-10R

LED headlights & TFT dash (from 2024)

Ram Air intake for better high-speed performance

Why it’s popular:
The ZX-6R has a unique 636 cc displacement instead of the typical 599 cc in its class, giving it better midrange torque for street riding without losing top-end track performance.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is basically Kawasaki’s “hold my beer” moment in motorcycle engineering — a supercharged, high-performance sport bike designed for extreme speed and insane acceleration.

Here’s the breakdown:

Engine: 998cc inline-four with a supercharger (rare in production bikes).

Power: Around 228 hp for the standard H2 (can go higher with ram air) — the track-only H2R version pushes over 300 hp.

Top speed: Electronically limited to ~299 km/h for the street version, but the H2R can exceed 400 km/h in controlled runs.

Torque: Brutal mid-range pull thanks to forced induction — it accelerates like it’s trying to rip the road out from under you.

Electronics: Traction control, launch control, quick shifter, cornering ABS, and a full-color TFT display.

Build: Steel trellis frame for stability at speed, aerodynamic winglets, and premium suspension/brakes.

Price: Very much in the “dream bike” category, especially for the H2R.

It’s not really a beginner’s bike — it’s more like Kawasaki’s street-legal missile for experienced riders who can handle its power.

If you want, I can give you a side-by-side of the H2 vs the H2R so you can see exactly what’s different.
