That said, when it directly affects our beloved racing circuit and the MotoGP, which I deeply love, I ask permission for this one post—and I’ll try my best to keep it as neutral as possible.
**(August 1st, 2025)** — When the shocking announcement was made that **Thailand’s one and only MotoGP circuit**, along with the football stadium and other buildings, would be **demolished within the next 24 hours**, it sparked an avalanche of questions across media and social networks.
* Is it true the circuit will be demolished?
* Why now, when the court’s ruling came long ago?
* Will MotoGP be affected?
* What about the shopping mall, homes, and government buildings nearby?
* Will the state enforce the same rules in similar land disputes in other provinces?
And many more…
I’ll try to answer what I can. But what pains me most is this: **while our soldiers and civilians are suffering and dying at the border, losing property, blood, and lives, the government is pushing forward with full force to tear down a place that has served as a refuge**—a shelter for displaced Thais, a playground for children, a resting place for elders, and a source of hope for families. It’s heartbreaking.
# # # So, will the circuit really be demolished?
The answer is: **"probably not entirely."**
The disputed land, based on maps released to the media, **does not cover the whole circuit**, but affects **the front zone—including turns 11 and 12, the access road, and grandstands**. If the worst happens, we may need to **redesign the layout, change the entrance… like amputating a part of the body to survive**.
That’s the worst-case scenario. But there are other options presented by academics and stakeholders, such as **negotiating a lease, paying rent for continued use**—a win-win solution. The circuit remains, events continue, and the state benefits from the arrangement. (Will they apply this same standard elsewhere? That’s another story.)
Or maybe the goal is simply to demolish the racetrack. We can’t be sure.

At this point, Thai fans are starting to accept a painful truth: **we may not get a contract renewal** for MotoGP. But now, a new storm is forming:

So one must weigh this carefully: **is the state’s heavy-handed decision, in the name of righteousness, really worth more than the alternative solutions that protect everyone involved?**
I once sat in a forum where an “uncle” told his story. As a boy from the provinces who had struggled to make it on his own, he said something that has stayed with me:

เอาเป็นว่าคำถามแรก สนามแข่งจะถูกรื้อจริงมั้ย ?
คำตอบก็คือ “คงไม่ขนาดนั้น”เพราะพื้นที่ ที่ทับซ้อนนั้น ตามแผนที่ข้อพิพาทที่นำมาเผยแพร่ต่อสื่อมวลชน ไม่ได้ครอบคลุมทั้งหมดของสนาม แต่กินในโซนด้านหน้า เฉี่ยวเอาโค้ง 11 ถึง 12 พื้นที่ถนนทางเข้าสนาม สแตนด์ต่าง ๆ ที่เราเชียร์นักแข่ง นั่นคือจะหายไป ทางออกหากโชคร้ายถูกลงดาบจริง ก็คือการปรับเลยอาท์สนาม ปรับทางเข้าใหม่ เสมือนตัดชิ้นส่วนร่างกายเพื่อมีชีวิตรอด

กระทบโมโตจีพีมั้ย ?
สำหรับความกระทบต่อโมโตจีพีนั้น ตอนนี้แฟนชาวไทยเริ่มยอมรับความจริงได้แล้วว่า เราอาจจะไม่ได้ต่อสัญญาใหม่ แต่ตอนนี้พายุโหมเข้ามาอาจจะเป็นว่า เกิดคำถามใหม่ก็คือ.... โมโตจีพีครั้งสุดท้ายกำลังจะมาถึง หรือว่าโมโตจีพีครั้งสุดท้ายได้ผ่านไปแล้วเมื่อต้นปี ?
สงครามชายแดน สื่อต่างประเทศบางสำนักรายงานแล้วว่า อาจจะกระทบถึงโอกาสในการจัดการแข่งขันโมโตจีพีปีหน้า และหากกรณีของสนามเข้ามาอีก และสนามถูกรื้อถอนบางส่วน การปรับปรุง ปรับแก้ไม่ทันจากการลงดาบของรัฐครั้งนี้ นอกจากคนที่เสียหายคือแฟน ๆ เอกชนที่เกี่ยวข้องที่ช่วยรัฐสนับสนุนแล้ว หากโมโตจีพีไม่เกิดขึ้น รัฐที่เป็นคู่สัญญากับดอร์น่าจะต้องเสียค่าปรับหลายล้านเลยทีเดียว
นั่นต้องชั่งใจว่า การลงดาบหนัก ๆ ด้วยเหตุผลว่าเพื่อความถูกต้องโดยปฏิเสธทางออกอื่นที่เซฟทุกฝ่าย จะเป็นรัฐที่ต้องเสียเงินค่าปรับ น่าคิดเหมือนกันว่า การพยายามทำงานผลักดันเรื่องนี้มากกว่าปัญหาเร่งด่วนอื่น ๆ มันทำให้รัฐบาลได้ประโยชน์มากกว่าผลเสียจริงหรือ

ตอนนี้ผมว่า ไม่ใช่แค่คนไทยนะครับ แต่เป็นคนทั้งโลกที่รู้จัก และอยากมาประเทศไทย ขอบคุณผู้สร้างทุก ๆ ท่านที่มีส่วนนะครับ ที่ก่อทุกอย่างมาจากพื้นดินแห่งนี้ สร้างประโยชน์ให้ชาวบุรีรัมย์ และขอเป็นกำลังใจให้ทุกอย่างผ่านไปได้ด้วยดี การสร้างบางอย่างหรือหลายอย่างขึ้นมา มันยากกว่าการทำลายให้พังลงแน่นอน แต่เชื่อว่ามีหลายคนที่มองเห็นและพร้อมเป็นพลังกำลังใจให้ครับ
