Just finished watching The Legend of Ochi with my kids tonight, and honestly… this felt like stumbling onto some forgotten VHS gem from the ‘80s. 🌀📼✨
It’s got that strange-but-magical energy that so many of the movies we grew up watching as kids did.
Equal parts wonder, mystery, and just enough weirdness to make you feel like you accidentally rented the coolest thing at the video store.

Highly recommend this one if you’re into:
🌲 Lush, otherworldly forests
👀 Wide-eyed, magical creatures
📼 That nostalgic, “is this real or a fever dream?” vibe

Feels like it was made for both 10-year-old me AND present-day dad-me.

Nat 20 on nostalgia 🎲✨
Picked up this 1991 Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Premier Edition Factory Set (750 cards of pure TSR-era magic—from Forgotten Realms to Ravenloft) from our favorite local treasure trove, Wizards () 🧙‍♂️❤️

Back in the day, these weren’t just cards… they were portals to worlds we couldn’t stop exploring.

Who else remembers flipping through these and building epic campaigns in your head?
This and Upperdeck baseball cards were my jam!!

What do you get when you mix D&D, video games, and cats? Apparently… pure genius. 🐈🎲👾

Finally cracked open this beauty our buddy Dan lent me, Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman, and I’ve already blasted through the first 10 chapters.
Verdict so far? Absolutely hilarious. 🤣

If you’re into video games, D&D, RPGs… or just love when a story feels like your weirdest late-night game session turned into a novel, you need this in your life.

Who else has read this one? No spoilers… but also, please tell me it keeps getting even crazier.

📻 UPDATE FROM THE WOODS 🖤🌲
Hey friends, we know it’s been quiet on here… and that’s on us.
This summer threw us a few curveballs, some expected (like family vacations), and some not so much (like a massive tree falling on Woody’s house while he was in Colorado). 😳🌲🏠

We didn’t plan on taking a break from the show… but sometimes life forces you to hit pause.

That said, we’ve missed you. A lot.

The good news? We’re coming back strong in July, and we’re putting everything we’ve got into this year’s CAMP RAD STRANGENESS 🎒🕶️🌌

Our priority right now is making this summer’s special series the best it’s ever been - packed with new stories, strange encounters, eerie legends, and that Rad Campfire Magic you’ve come to love.

It’s a rare and special thing when we get to meet one of our listeners in real life—and even rarer when that listener feels more like an old friend.

Passing through St. Louis without finally meeting would’ve been a total tragedy. He’s been rocking with That Would Be Rad since the early days: an OG best friend, episode curator, and all-around brilliant dude.

Getting to hang, talk shop, and laugh face-to-face just made what we do feel that much more meaningful. It’s moments like this that remind us why we started the show in the first place.⁠

Here’s to strange stories, rad people, and the ever-growing community of curious minds we’re lucky enough to call best friends.

Went to my parent’s house for dinner and found some treasure!
Recorded from TV tapes are always an amazing find no matter what - but THESE are from my time as a kid living in Indonesia.
I can’t wait to dive into them.
Time to fire up the VCR that plays PAL.
Also, wouldn’t it be amazing if the mysterious movie that I can’t find was on one of these tapes?!?
You know the movie I always end up talking about in our show ad nauseam?
