🌸Serenity in Bloom 🌸 framed and ready for a very special auction....

This piece is so close to my heart ….when Bella was small and struggling to find her words, a charity Rowland Hill Fund stepped in and funded speech therapy at a time I couldn’t. That gift helped unlock her voice (she’s a total chatterbox now !)

They also part-funded Bella’s bedroom move and specialist equipment mission....support that made such a difference to us as a family.

This artwork feels like the perfect way to say thank you.

✨ A small run of signed limited editions will also be available privately. Reply if you’d like one reserved xx

The slab is down, the countdown is on ....only 4 days until I move into my dream studio 🎉🥳

I’ve been sketching layouts, re-measuring shelves, and basically nesting like a woman possessed.

If you had your own creative space, what’s the one thing you’d put in it?

✨ The little details make the biggest difference. ✨

I’m finalising the canvases for my Unbreakable series, and the question is: how should the edges be finished?

Which do you like best?

I’m torn between:

A) Mirror/Image wrap
B) White wrap
C) Black wrap

Today’s task....Grilling my printer + framer on all the un-glam details....frame choices, how the hanging hardware is fitted, and whether the surfaces can handle what I’m about to throw at them.

So here’s the plan: I’m not just sending off digital files and calling it done. These are the skins....the base layers I’ll be building on with gold leaf, paint, and mixed-media details. So sort of digital and traditional hybrids. Total experiment (never done this before 🙈).

So when these beauties finally hang on someone’s wall, they won’t just be beautiful they’ll be built to last. ✨

So… I sort of disappeared for the whole summer 🙈. I promised myself family time, chaos and all, before stepping back into (my brand new!) studio this autumn.

🍂✨ Fresh season, fresh focus.

👉 So that was me: beach huts, Thermomix dramas, and Frozen on loop. Please tell me your summer was more glamorous… so I can pretend I was sipping cocktails instead of chasing Freya up walls 😂.

✨ Before summer I was burnt out, spinning a thousand plates. For these eight weeks, I chose to spin just one - my kids - and it was exactly what we needed. And somewhere in the middle of all that I realised something: my art doesn’t have to be about constant output or keeping up with what everyone else is doing. I get to build this on my own terms. My business can look however I need it to....slower, more intentional, and a whole lot more me..

Now I feel so inspired with my art moving forward. I love that we can be more than one thing and actually celebrate it, be thankful for i. Work hard then take a break, boss the art then chill at the beach, advocate like a rottweiler then goof around watching Frozen.

That bonkers balance is exactly what I needed and now and I’m ready to dive back into the art again.

Just a little update before I vanish into the Welsh hills with Ken, the kids, and a campervan that dies every time we turn a corner 😅

✨ The Burnt-Out Beauty Seeker is is glowing up in lush greens and shimmering gold. She’s just returned from a healing forest retreat, smelling of eucalyptus.

💙 The Lost Creative is floating into calming blues...soft, gentle, and exactly the kind of energy I wish I could pack with me.

I’ve got butterfly wings to glue, snacks to find, and a mountain of chaos to cram into one vehicle… wish me luck!

P.S. Any tips for packing with a toddler and a kid who runs on rocket fuel? ###

✨ The Lost Creative ✨

So here’s a thing I’ve realised:

“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes.
Art is knowing which ones to keep.” - Scott Adams

…which is GREAT news because I’ve spent most of today changing the background colour on this piece about 472 times. 😅

Do you have a fave version? Or perhaps a better suggestion? I’m genuinely torn. I might need a public vote.

The Lost Creative🌸

Oh. This is me.

The part that got lost for a while.

Buried beneath all those shoulds...and musts...and can'ts...

Sound familiar???

Today, I'm gently digging her out.

I'm listening to a forest sound bath (who knew rustling leaves could be so healing?)

And slowly sketching swallows and exploring symbols of endurance and hope.

Tiny wings, big meaning. ✨

Prioritising myself for a little while.
And letting “The Lost Creative” lead the way back.

Exciting update from the “Studio of Dreams” project…

We’ve officially moved past the “maybe we’ll just wing it” phase and into the Proper Groundworks™ stage 🙈🙌

Words like load-bearing and drainage are being thrown around by men in steel toe caps (Ken, mostly).

We’re still over budget. My garden is basically a skip. But the dream? Still very much alive ❤❤❤

Next step: walls. Then art. Then world domination!!

Thanks for cheering this on
