"He has a very good physical profile" 🗣️🇦🇺

Ahead of the November matches against Venezuela and Colombia, Socceroos manager Tony Popovic has called up a squad with several new faces. One of them is Wisła Płock striker Deni Juric who has had a fantastic season across the Slovenian, Polish and UEFA Conference leagues.

In his press conference before the matches, Popovic spoke about Juric and why he called him up in the November window: 👇

"He was playing in Slovenia and we watched him there," he said.

"The level of the [Slovenian] league is quite low, so it's very hard to judge. We've watched him now since he's gone to Poland. He looks quicker, more powerful, definitely looks fitter.

"He's scoring and assisting goals, he's in a team that's challenging for the title at the moment. It's maybe not a league that everyone sees regularly, so they're not aware of how he's playing, but he deserves this opportunity."

A-League Women's - last position 🚫

It has been a very tough start to the A-Leagues season for the Western Sydney Wanderers across their men's and women's squads 🔴⚫️

After four matches, the men's side remain winless and pressure is building on current manager Alen Stajcic. Up next for Staj and his side are two home matches against NSW opposition - the Central Coast Mariners and crosstown rivals Sydney FC.

In the women's side, the Wanderers have conceded seven goals in their opening two matches of the season and up next on the fixture list is an away trip against the high-flying Brisbane Roar.
