When we were kids, we always dreamed of becoming superheroes — brave, strong, and ready to save the day. 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

But as we grow older, reality sets in. We realize that true heroes don’t wear capes — they are ordinary people who stand up for what is right, who protect others even when no one is watching.

And now, as adults, it suddenly makes sense why we once wanted to become superheroes — especially in times like these in the Philippines, when we face typhoons, floods, earthquakes and even corruption in the government. 🇵🇭

When those entrusted to protect us can no longer fulfill their duty, the call to be a hero becomes personal — to defend, to care, and to do what is just. Because being a hero isn’t about having powers… it’s about having courage and heart. ❤️💪

One of the perks of being a retired uniformed personnel — you have the freedom to choose. You can take it easy and enjoy the quiet life, or work again while still enjoying the benefits of traveling and exploring new places. 🚓✈️🌅

Sana po ikaw na talaga ang “THE LAST LAW BENDER”

The very people entrusted with making our laws are now the ones most vocal about bending them—just to gain favor and please the crowd. But when leaders choose popularity over principle, they weaken the very foundation of justice. Laws exist not to be twisted for convenience, but to uphold order, protect rights, and ensure fairness. When those in power bend the law to suit the people’s applause, it is no longer governance—it becomes a dangerous game of appeasement that risks leading society into chaos.

THINKING OUT LOUD…

Today’s viral issue: CPNP PGen Nicolas D. Torre III has accepted the challenge of Davao City Vice Mayor Baste Duterte — but not for an ordinary fistfight.

Instead, Torre turned the heat into hope by proposing a BOXING FOR A CAUSE event happening on July 27, 2025 at the Araneta Coliseum.

All proceeds from this highly anticipated bout will go to the victims of Typhoons Crising, Dante, and Emong.

💭 But the question now is… will the boxing match prosper🥊🤔💡?

From Wilted to Blooming: A Lesson from My Bougainvillea💮

When I came back after being away for more than a month in the Bangsamoro Region, one of the first things I noticed at home was my favorite bougainvillea plant—withered, dry, and seemingly lifeless. I was disheartened. But instead of giving up on it, I chose to nurture it again with patience, water, sunlight, and care. Almost a month later, it has fully recovered… and today, it bloomed with beautiful flowers.

Life is a lot like that.
There are times we feel dried up—physically, emotionally, even spiritually—because of circumstances, distance, or challenges we face. Sometimes, we or the people we love go through seasons of neglect, exhaustion, or discouragement. But with time, care, and love—just like that bougainvillea—we can heal, grow back, and bloom again.

The lesson?
Never give up on anything—or anyone—that once brought life, beauty, and joy.

Sometimes, all it needs is another chance, a little more time, and a whole lot of heart. 💚🌸

Day 4 of healing…
This cut on my shin—deep, painful, unexpected.
But in life, there’s always time for healing.

Not just the wound you see…
But also the ones no one notices.

Healing takes time.
It takes patience.
It takes courage.

Sometimes, we’re forced to slow down…
Not because we want to—
But because we need to.

Wounds may leave scars…
But scars tell stories of survival.

This is mine.
Still hurting. Still healing.
But definitely moving forward.💪🏼

Salamat Lord🙏🏼
