Almost 30 years later, My Best Friend’s Wedding might get its sequel—and yes, Julia Roberts is on board (if the talks go well). The announcement came today: Sony has engaged Past Lives / Materialists filmmaker Celine Song to write the screenplay, and Roberts confirmed she has “been approached … they’re talking to me.” Dermot Mulroney has also teased that legal conversations are already happening, and Luca Guadagnino said he’d direct in a second if given the chance. No firm director or full cast yet, but this could give us a chance to catch up with Julianne, Michael, Kimmy—and see where their lives are now.

The legal clash between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni sees a new turn: Baldoni has hired Alexandra Shapiro, known for her work with Sean “Diddy” Combs and others, to bolster his defense.

As a reminder: Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation. Baldoni denied the claims and filed a $400 million countersuit for defamation and extortion—which a judge dismissed in mid-2025. The trial is set for March 2026. Also in motion: whether Taylor Swift will be deposed in the case—a request Baldoni’s side claims she agreed to, though Lively’s camp disputes that. 🔍

Nina Dobrev and Shaun White have ended their engagement as of September 11, 2025, after nearly five years together. According to sources, the split came down to differing life visions: Dobrev is said to have been ready for marriage and children, while White allegedly wasn’t prepared. Others close to them claim both shared those desires, making the decision mutual instead of one-sided. Dobrev is reportedly devastated and has been receiving support from family. No public statements have been made by either yet.

Nick Cannon opened up on The Breakfast Club about what fathering 12 kids truly meant for him. He shared that some of it was a response to trauma — especially coming out of his 2016 divorce — admitting that he was being ‘careless’ with decisions because he had the money, access, and freedom to act without always thinking things through. He said all his kids were made with love, but also that he wishes he’d done more inner work first. He’s now pressing pause on expanding his family and trying to be more intentional. Healing > quantity, as he sees it now.

After nearly three years together, Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes have ended their relationship. What’s clear is they put in the work—balancing careers, long distance, and emotional vulnerability—but ultimately couldn’t make it work.

Their romance started gaining attention in early 2023, and they shared many moments of love publicly, even attending the 2023 CMT Awards together. Chase once said they make sure to not go more than three weeks apart, and Kelsea spoke openly about how falling in love involved unpacking past baggage and growing together.

Sometimes even when both people care deeply, things don’t align. Wishing them both the best moving forward. 💔

Jenelle Evans is opening up about a surprising interaction with Lil Wayne — she claims he sent her DMs, flew her out to L.A., and asked to hook up. She says the invitation read “Be mine,” though she wanted to take things slower (dinner, getting to know each other). Wayne allegedly paid for her flight back, and she described him as respectful during their time together. Despite some doubts from critics, Evans maintains the story is true and says there are no hard feelings.

At the VMAs this year, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino opened up about what keeps his marriage to Lauren strong.

His two golden rules? First, communication is everything. Second, when you fight, try to be the first one to apologize—don’t go to bed mad.

Lauren, who’s been married to Mike since 2018, says his patience and dedication as a dad to their three little ones (Romeo, Mia, and Luna Lucia) only make her love him more—‘as we get older,’ she said. And Mike added that although being a young parent is tough, it’s also the most rewarding thing he’s ever done. ❤️

aspiration, nostalgia, and ambition—Kirsten Dunst is drawing the line at reliving Bring It On.

Speaking at the Roofman premiere, the actress declared she’s not interested in returning to her iconic role as Torrance Shipman in a sequel or reboot. “Leave good things where they are,” she said, adding humorously, “I don’t need to put on a cheerleading outfit.”

She’s had moments of openness before—previously saying she might consider coming back “if it’s not embarrassing”. But now, her stance is firm. She’s moving forward with new projects and letting the past stay just where it’s loved.

Amanda Seyfried made a big personal sacrifice for her role as Ann Lee in The Testament of Ann Lee: she went Botox-free for a year and followed a strict no-makeup vision for authenticity. As she told People, she doesn’t need all the beauty tools in her life—they were things she liked, but ones she could set aside to honor the character. She admitted that giving up Botox was hard, especially since she frowns a lot, but that letting everything ‘come back’ was necessary for the emotional work. The film, which premiered at TIFF on September 9, was worth it in her eyes—she said, “we didn’t just survive, we thrived.”

Miranda Cosgrove is offering parenting rule #1 for child actors: protect first.
In an exclusive with PEOPLE, the former iCarly star—now 32 and co-starring in Netflix’s The Wrong Paris—called acting “an adult job in an adult world” and emphasized how bewildering it is when a child is immersed in that environment. She praised her parents for their balanced presence—they never managed her career, instead creating space for her to choose it. Her counsel: “Be really tough and know when to pull your kid out.” She also warned about the danger when parents push children into acting to fulfill their own dreams, saying that’s where things get “really messy and complicated.” Working with child actress Jaidyn Triplett reminded her how vital it is to keep a child’s own passion front and center.

Bad Bunny is putting fan safety above all.

He’s chosen to leave the U.S. off his world tour due to concerns that ICE could be lurking outside concert venues. Instead, he completed a 30-night residency in Puerto Rico—which U.S. fans can still attend. His decision comes at a time when Latino communities are canceling cultural festivals out of fear. The artist’s stance highlights the ongoing tension between cultural expression and immigration enforcement.

A tense moment at the Venice Film Festival left many talking.

During an interview for After the Hunt, journalist Federica Polidoro posed a question about the future of Hollywood once major social movements like and Black Lives Matter were “done”—addressing only Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield first, while excluding Ayo Edebiri, the film’s Black lead. Roberts was visibly perplexed and asked Polidoro to clarify, prompting Edebiri to interject: “I don’t think it’s done at all.”

Polidoro responded to the backlash via Instagram. She described herself as the target of “personal insults and attacks,” and argued that accusing her of racism was an attempt to stifle journalistic freedom. She emphasized her multi-ethnic background and refused to apologize or offer clarification.
