If you’re in Davao, you have to add this to your list.

Just an hour from the city, in Malagos, Calinan, is the Philippine Eagle Center, home of one of the rarest eagles in the world. And trust me… seeing the Haribon up close? Goosebumps.

The place feels like you’re stepping right into the forest, shady trails, towering trees, and the sound of wildlife all around. You’ll meet over 30 eagles here, plus other animals like monkeys and raptors. Don’t miss Talon Alley, the Raptor Garden, and the Rainforest Walk they’re perfect photo spots too.

They’re open daily from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with entrance at ₱150 for adults and ₱100 for kids. And here’s the best part, your visit actually helps fund the conservation of this incredible bird.

So if you want a mix of nature, wildlife, and a cause worth supporting… this is the trip you’ll never forget.

🚗 By Private Vehicle
1. From Davao City Proper, head south via McArthur Highway towards Toril.
2. Enter Toril Proper, then look for the road going up to Barangay Baracatan (landmarks: Shell Gas Station, Gaisano Grand Toril).
3. Follow the uphill Baracatan Road until you reach Sunridge Farm, Purok 1.

🛵 By Public Transport
1. Ride a Toril-bound jeepney from downtown Davao.
2. From Toril, take a habal-habal (motorbike taxi) going to Sunridge Farm, Baracatan.
3. Fare depends on negotiation but is generally affordable.
