Last night I finally watched a movie I have wanted to for many many years but once again if you are in the UK you know that there are so many movies from the 70s the 80s 90s and onwards that we haven’t ever got the opportunity to watch and there are some movies that still are not on streaming platforms so as we know being a horror fan in the UK has always been an uphill struggle so after all these years I finally got a chance to watch a movie that I knew that I would love even without seeing it called trick or treat from 1986

And I am absolutely in love with this movie.
I know that this will be on my Halloween watchlist for every year!
It’s a fantastic movie but it’s also what I truly love
its wild and crazy and off the wall 80s horror but there’s also so much to it in regards to the movie on a technical level.
It’s a very beautiful movie it’s lit incredibly well It’s shot incredibly well the practical effects are amazing it’s all rad!

But there’s also one thing that after watching this movie that I’m absolutely convinced on and I know there’s things out there that will tell me I’m wrong but I’m not wrong and if you tell me I’m wrong I couldn’t give a s**t but I’m convinced that Eddie Munson from stranger things is based on the lead character of this movie

For one they’re both called Eddie for two they’re both metal heads and they’re both outcasts but also as you can see in the second picture I’ve added on here There’s so many similarities with lighting and shots in this movie like stranger things

so do I believe that this character is a basis for what we got for Eddie in stranger things and it’s actually a movie that could’ve played apart in the aesthetical look of stranger things absolutely
even if the Duffer Brothers tell me it’s not I’m still going with the fact that I think it is and that’s all that matters😂

A movie i truly love and a movie that is a proper under appreciated and an under seen gem

If only i was watching this for prep and I could do an episode all about it soon 😉😉😉

Be careful if your hanging around any graveyards listening to party time tonight because today is the return of the living dead day and you never know what might happen

This is a proper punk rock zombie horror classic with many moments especially one most of us will never forget thanks to the beautiful and iconic

it’s also a movie that feels like the very essence of who I was as a kid growing up watching a movie like this and still to this day it’s who gives a f**k and punk rock attitude is still something that lives on in me and a movie like this is a big influence on that

and what’s great is that this movie is now becoming bigger than ever and more and more people are getting the opportunity to see it which is awesome

so for those that will be watching it today enjoy the absolute tar and brains out of it

Happy birthday

He’s the king of King and the chin of chins the coolest dude that has ever existed and still kicking ass

Not everybody gets the opportunity to say that they got to play one of the most iconic characters in horror history and this guy gets to do that

Ash Williams is ash Williams because of Bruce Campbell but his career isn’t just all about the evil dead.
He is continuously throughout his career giving us so many fun characters but also if you really follow Bruce Campbells filmography then you will see more than just ash you will see so many great performances such as his fantastic performance in my favourite
X-Files episode in which he is absolutely amazing.
He also did a film called running time once again flexing his acting chops away from characters such as ash and of course maniac cop and bubba ho-tep and so many more enjoyable movies and performances

And he’s one of the very few guys that will actually get me to read a book and I read all of his books so that’s how much of a rad dude this guy is and he’s been at the top of my list to one day meet and hopefully that will happen

But once again happy birthday to the reason Spider-Man is Spider-Man Bruce Campbell and the reason I’m such a smooth mother f**ker

Now go give him some sugar

JAWS Turns 50 years old today and still continues to be one of the most important and inspirational movies in the history of cinema

A movie that sits up there with very few other movies that are a perfect 10 out of 10 and every time you see this movie no matter how many times that may be you are still in absolute awe of what was created

Whether it’s the incredible direction by Spielberg whether it’s the fantastic performances and the adventure we are on with Brody,Quinn and Hooper whether it’s the iconic score by John Williams or whether it’s one of the million other incredible things about this movie we still continue to go back to it

But it still continues to find a new audience to inspire and really does make you truly understand what it is like when watch a movie and go you know what I think that’s how it’s supposed to be done

So happy birthday to Bruce and I hope many of you enjoy this movie tonight on its 50th birthday wherever you may watch it

and of course we did an episode about it awhile ago so go and enjoy that on any podcast platform

Now watching: Idle Hands

Another movie without a proper physical modern release in the UK so I had to buy it on Amazon prime but oh well because I love this movie

It’s one I watched all the time in my teens on VHS and every time I watch it now all the memories of my youth come back

Just like me this movie is a product of its time

As it is Friday the 13th then if you haven’t already or even if you have then remember that me and Scott from took on the task of covering all of the Friday the 13th movies in our Halloween special episodes so go and enjoy them

We spoke very honestly about them and gave our rankings that definitely may p**s off a lot of fans of Friday the 13th but they are what they are

Do I love Jason Goes to hell?absolutely
do I love Jason X?
Absolutely
are they way higher in my rankings than a lot of people absolutely😂
