SSLG Leads School-Based Teachers' Day
by Sofia Reyes

In line with School Memorandum No. 027, s. 2024, Dampol 2nd National High School (D2NHS) celebrated School-Based Teachers’ Day on October 3, 2024, with a program initiated by the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG). The event embraced the theme, “Empowering Educators: Strengthening Resilience, Building Sustainability.”

Both teachers and students enjoyed various activities, including an "Inside Out"-themed photo booth, the "Let-Cher" (Letter for Teachers) station where students dropped heartfelt letters into boxes assigned to their teachers, and "Melodies of Gratitude," where students dedicated songs to express their appreciation for their educators.

“Our main goal was to make this Teachers’ Day celebration joyful and unforgettable,” added Jaymee T. Caloyo, the SSLG President.

D2NHS teachers expressed their deep gratitude for the efforts made by students.

"I felt overwhelmed," Ma’am Reysielyne S. Espino, Grade 10 Araling Panlipunan teacher expressed.

Another teacher shared a similar sentiment.

“I’m very happy! I always feel appreciated by the students’ efforts to commemorate this special day for teachers,” said Sir Jerome M. Madla, a Grade 7 Science teacher.

The celebration not only strengthened the bond between students and teachers but also highlighted the profound impact educators have in the Dampolenyo community.
