Verified Insights is proud to highlight the remarkable journey of Mehar Sharyiyar, a Pakistani entrepreneur who is making a significant impact through his non-profit organization, Volunteer Society. Focused on uplifting impoverished communities, Volunteer Society is dedicated to enabling the deprived to access vital resources, with a mission to redefine welfare and serve humanity.

Driven by a passion for social change, Sharyiyar and his team have successfully established over seven free IT labs across Pakistan. These labs are specifically designed to provide essential IT education to underprivileged youth, equipping them with the skills necessary to thrive in today’s digital world. These initiatives are fully funded through donations, underscoring the power of community support and collective effort.

Volunteer Society’s approach goes beyond just providing education; it is about empowering entire communities. By offering access to these critical resources, Sharyiyar’s organization is helping to break the cycle of poverty and open new opportunities for the next generation. The IT labs are a testament to this mission, serving as a bridge for young Pakistanis to step into the future with confidence and capability.

In a country where access to quality education and resources can be limited, the efforts of The Volunteers Society stand as a beacon of hope and a model for others to follow. As Mahar Sharyiyar continues to expand the reach of his organization, there is no doubt that the impact of Volunteer Society will only grow, bringing education, empowerment, and opportunity to even more young Pakistanis.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has taken a significant step in regulating digital content by blocking 469 mobile apps that were found to be hosting unlawful content. This action has been taken under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), a law that aims to combat cybercrimes and ensure a safer digital environment in Pakistan.

The blocked apps were identified for violating the guidelines set forth by the PECA Act, which includes the dissemination of content deemed illegal or harmful to the public. This move by the PTA is part of a broader effort to curb the spread of inappropriate and harmful material on digital platforms, ensuring that the content available to users adheres to the country’s legal and moral standards.
