I've been thinking about this a lot lately, especially watching how quickly we've all jumped on the AI bandwagon (and maybe become a little dependent on it).
Don't get me wrong - I use AI tools and they're can be SO helpful for certain things.
But here's what's been concerning me...
I see so many people start to completely outsource their thinking to AI.
Not just the tedious time consuming stuff, but their actual creative process, their unique voice and their problem-solving abilities.
The saying ‘if you don’t use it, you lose it’ is so true and it applies to our brain!
The path of least resistance feels brilliant in the moment.
Why spend 3 hours crafting the perfect email when ChatGPT can do it in 30 seconds?
Why brainstorm content ideas when AI can generate 50 in a flash?
But what happens when you stop flexing those creative muscles? What happens to your unique perspective, your intuitive problem-solving, your ability to think through complex challenges and actually understand and concepts on a deep level?
I'm not saying don't use AI. I'm saying use it intelligently.
Let it handle the grunt work. But keep the vision, the creativity, and piecing the strategic ideas together for yourself.
Your brain is not a muscle you want to let someone (or something) else operate.
The price of taking every shortcut? You might just shortcut yourself out of what makes you, you.
What's your take? Are we becoming too dependent on AI to do our thinking for us?
