Love everything old, oily & rusty 😍 I ride old smoky and oily motorcycles. No Rust, No Glory!

I'm Motosoul, an old-school indian biker who is trying to motovlog. I make videos about vintage motorcycles and two stroke motorcycles. I ride a 1967 Jawa 250 and a 1989 Yamaha RX100 . I live in Hyderabad, India and my love for 2 stroke motorcycles and vintage motorcycles is inevitable. It's not just 2strokes that i love but I go crazy for machines that make noise, smoke, roll and explode and vin

tage motorcycles do all this crazy stuff! Motosoul is a tribute to OLD MOTORCYCLES. You may not find any new modern motorcycles here but only old timers will be featured.

Our July 2025 Monsoon Ride!
Swipe through the photos >>

The first few photos show our actual route maps - 2400 kms of ever-changing terrain, ghat roads, border crossings, and long stretches that tested us in every way.

Read the full story on my website - www.hassanelyas.com

2400 kms, 4 states, 5 motorcycles and 6 days.

From July 1 to 6 2025, we set out on a ride that pushed our limits physically, mentally and mechanically. Starting from Hyderabad, Telangana, we rode across 4 states - Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh over 6 days and 5 nights. 5 motorcycles - two Yamaha RX135s, a Bajaj NS200, a Yamaha R15 and a Yamaha FZ. One simple goal - to ride, explore and embrace the beauty of monsoon in South India.

While my RX135 fought through issues (more on that in a separate post) the other 4 bikes performed flawlessly throughout the ride. Not a single hiccup. They handled every kind of road we threw at them, ghat sections, sharp hairpin bends and even a brutal climb up a mountain peak that drained us but gave us views we’ll never forget. 😁

Every place on this route had something unique to offer, but these were our favourites -
Penukonda, AP
Kalur, KA
Coorg, KA
Madikeri, KA
Iritty, KL
Kottiyoor, KL
Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, KL
Bandipur Tiger Reserve, KA
Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, TN
Ooty, TN
Coonoor, TN
Mettupalayam, TN
Kotagiri, TN
Doddabetta, TN

The last long ride I did was back in 2022 on the same RX135 And despite all the issues this time, I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. This was my third time riding across Karnataka and I know I’ll be back through all 4 of these states again. Rides like this remind you exactly why you fell in love with riding in the first place.

KYT TT REVO Water Leak Problem Solved , Thanks to KYT INDIA.

Swipe for videos 👉

We recently picked up the KYT TT Revo Helmet, priced at around â‚č8500, from KYT’s authorized dealer in Hyderabad , The helmet was for my friend , who was super excited to wear it on our upcoming monsoon ride.

However, on our initial short ride in the rain, we noticed water leaking from the top of the visor. On inspecting closely, we found a big gap between the visor and the rubber gasket , the part that's supposed to prevent water from entering the helmet.

We contacted immediately and also visited the dealer we purchased it from. That’s when we found out that all TT Revo units at the dealership had the same water leakage issue. The only solution was to send the helmet to KYT’s HQ in Bangalore.

Thankfully, KYT India took full responsibility. They covered the shipping charges since it was a manufacturing defect. We shipped the helmet to them, and the entire process from reporting the issue to receiving the replacement took around 15 days.

The replacement helmet is flawless, no leakage, perfect fit, and just in time for our big ride. We got it 4 days before the trip, so there was enough time to break it in.

After wearing it for 6 days straight and over 2000+ km of riding, we can confidently say the helmet is performing perfectly. No issues, great comfort, solid ventilation, and excellent wind protection, it held up beautifully across different weather conditions and road types.

Massive respect to KYT India for how they handled the situation. quick, professional, and truly customer focused. Mistakes can happen, but service like this makes all the difference.

If you're considering the KYT TT Revo, it’s an amazing helmet with excellent weight distribution and most importantly, it’s backed by a team that truly stands behind their product.

After using the Rynox Advento riding pants for a solid 6 years and countless rides, I figured it was finally time for an upgrade. Naturally, I went back to Rynox and tried both the Tornado Pro and the new Advento Pro but sadly, the fit just didn’t work for my lean frame. They felt bulky and loose in areas where the OG Advento used to fit perfectly. Honestly, it’s a bit disappointing that they discontinued the original Advento pants, nothing I’ve tried from their current lineup comes close in terms of fit.

Next I gave the Viaterra Miller pants a shot. Right out of the box, I loved the fit and finish. Tailored, snug, and clearly built well. But since Miller is more of a street oriented pant, I wanted something better suited for touring. That’s when the Viaterra Kruger caught my attention.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the Kruger in size S locally, so I ordered it directly from Viaterra’s official website. Big shoutout to them for having such an encouraging return policy. you can return it for any reason and they only deduct a small 2% payment gateway fee. Super helpful when you can’t try it in-store locally.

When the Kruger arrived, I quickly realized the S size in Kruger was roomier than the S in Miller again, not ideal for my body type. I’d probably need an XS, but unfortunately, that size is not available as of now. So I returned the Kruger without any issues and went back to the Miller, which I picked up locally from one of my favorite riding gear store here in Hyderabad.

And After 6 days of continuous riding in the Viaterra Miller pants, I’m honestly impressed. The comfort, ventilation, and protection were spot on for long hours on the saddle. It held up really well in different conditions and never felt restrictive.

I still might go for the Kruger once XS is available, but until then, the Miller is doing a great job. Still wish Rynox hadn’t killed the OG Advento though, that one was a gem.

Finally upgraded my base layers!

Got the New Rynox Vapour Pro, performance base layers designed specifically for motorcycling.

For the past 6 years, I’ve been using Decathlon’s Run Dry Tshirts and base layer pants under my riding gear. They worked fine, but they were never made for motorcycling just generic sportswear. A bit bulky, not the best fit, and not ideal for long hours inside riding jackets and pants.

These Rynox base layers feel like a solid upgrade. Built for riders, they hug the body perfectly and feel like a second skin. The fit makes a big difference, no more sleeves bunching up or T-shirts riding up under the jacket. Once you get moving, the airflow helps sweat dry out quickly, and it stays super breathable throughout the ride.

Also saves my regular tees from getting drenched in sweat or dust. The full sleeves add comfort, keep things cleaner, and make wearing the outer gear easier overall.

I originally wanted to go with the Viaterra base layers (since Viaterra's B100 Base layers are more affordable at â‚č1998 for a pair) But unfortunately, their sizing starts from Small, and with my lean body build I needed an XS. After checking the measurements, I went with Rynox instead (â‚č3000 for a pair) and I’m glad I did, the fit is perfect and the quality feels premium. Honestly, I waited too long for this upgrade.

Wore these continuously for 6 days straight on a recent ride, and they held up brilliantly, no rashes, no discomfort, no sweat or stink. Just clean, dry, ventilated comfort all day, every day.

If you’re looking for a solid base layer for your rides for comfort, ventilation, and ease, I can confidently recommend this. Worth every rupee. Small change, big upgrade for every ride.

Fresh new tyres for the RX135!

After 6 solid years, my trusted Michelin Sirac Streets finally gave up, the rear was worn flat, rubber gone stiff. With a 2500 km monsoon ride coming up, I needed fresh rubber.

Sirac Street’s out of production and nothing else in the market comes close. So I took a chance on its successor, the Michelin Anakee Cross. Wasn’t too sure at first. Expected noise. Had doubts about grip.

But now, after rain drenched roads, twisty hair pin bends and a few sketchy moments later I’m impressed. Solid grip, planted feel, no tyre noise, no drama even in the wet. Might just be better than the Sirac.

They’re not just functional, they look mean too. A full YouTube review is on the way once I clock more kilometers, but early impressions? Worth every bit!

There’s a strange satisfaction when RPM and speed fall into rhythm, like the machine is finally breathing with you.

Recently got my Yamaha RX135 mechanically restored. Installed the RXZ speedometer setup, and now the RPM works flawlessly. New tyres, fresh seat, Front brake master, caliper and a whole lot of new parts & love poured in. She’s slowly coming back to life, one detail at a time. Took time, effort, and patience, but worth every bit. Prepping her for longer rides đŸ«

Every little upgrade feels like a win!

New seat assembly, tail light, and mirrors bolted on.
She looks cleaner, sharper, more herself again. And yeah, she gets the full treatment! Waxed, Polished, Lubed, Detailed. Because this isn’t just a motorcycle, It’s a piece of who I am.
