❌ People don't care about how educated you are in your industry. They only care about the solution to their problem.
In my opinion, the people who feel the need to "sound smart" are also the people who want to be validated for their intelligence. In other words - they have insecurities. Oops, I said it... 🙊
To elaborate on this story, it wasn't just the big words that drove me away; it was their demeanour and the awkwardness I felt being in their presence. We simply weren't vibing on the same wavelength!
If you want to reach a wider audience, projecting your wealth of knowledge won't get you there. Instead, focus on S.I.R.
👉🏼 Keep it Simple: Ensure your message is easily understood by a diverse range of people, including potential customers who may not be familiar with your industry.
👉🏼 Be Inclusive: Make everyone feel welcome and understood, regardless of their prior knowledge or experience. Not everyone is on the same level as you.
👉🏼 Stay Relatable: Use language that speaks to your target audience. Not only does this make you more approachable, but it also cultivates trust and authenticity, which are crucial for building lasting customer relationships.
Double tap if you agree. 💚
