Public Notice: Snow Emergency Lifted

The City of Poughkeepsie Snow Emergency has been lifted, January 29, 2026. You may resume your daily parking practices. Thank you for your cooperation as we navigate these winter weather conditions as a community.

While parking restrictions are no longer in effect, our DPW crews will continue to work diligently to treat the streets and ensure our roads remain safe for travel.

Please continue to monitor the City of Poughkeepsie website and social media for any winter weather updates to come.

Just a reminder, and a clarification, that RMM's press conference and rally to protest the proposed ICE detention warehouse in the Village of Chester will begin at 5:30 pm tomorrow.

Please join us at Chester Commons Park, 81 Laroe Rd., Chester, NY. Dress for the weather! Parking is limited, so please carpool.
