Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde & SRA CEO Mahendra Kalyankar were opposed by group of Protesters chanting “Murdabad Murdabad” by residents of Nargis Dutt Nagar Bandra West at SRA office.
After recent attacks on Slum Dwellers where Women were dragged out of their houses in Jaku Club Chawl of Santacruz East and forcefully their houses were demolished by SRA Authorities and Builder Lobby. There has been a mass level Protest Organized to condemn this incident so that such activities are not repeated by Slum Redevelopment Authorities (SRA). In presence of Mumbai Suburban District Collector, Ministers & Various News Channels on 15 August an occasion of Independence Day early morning 6am Mumbaikars would gather in huge number before 7am Flag hoisting. This hunger Strike has been Organised by Social Worker/Activist & Editor in Chief of Scout Reporters News Portal Aki Bhai Khatib who has been consistently working to help needy Mumbaikars. Aki Bhai who had been recently attacked by goons sent by Builder Lobby and an official police complaint was registered at Bandra West Police Station urges all fellow Mumbaikars to stand united and come on 15th August early morning at Bandra East District Collectors office with a flag in their hands for the smooth redevelopment of Mumbai and to stop forceful eviction specially during monsoon season making poor people homeless.
